Zheilwane, any promo coming up for Aquaphor Crystal Eco cartridges, say during Merdeka Day timeframe?

Also, I read someone traded in their old cartridges...is there some kind of rebate? Need to bring the old cartridges in?
*
Aquaphor has maintained its replacement cartridge price RM 450 for 3 years , no price increase and no promo. Other brands jack up the price and occasionally do promo which is still expensive actually.

Is Coway still good? Just read about the nikel case. Should I still use it? What did Malaysian Coway users do? Ask for refund ?

Which model you using?
Try open up the entire casing and check inside, or you can have a look what I found in one of the model i posted before below.

Did you try measure what temperature hot water you get? I think is somewhere 85c at most.

Tested few instant hot water dispenser, the water just not hot for me. (I drink Chinese tea) some tea can taste different if water not hot enough. Green tea still ok. But not the Chinese tea.

Will need to get a cooking thermometer and check. Will report back.

You install external filter (POE) from the main water source to your tank, then you install POU at your kitchen for drinking purpose.
A good POE will not filtered off Chlorine. it will be filtered through POU.

One way faucet is something like below, where you have separate faucet just for drinking water usage.

Two way faucet is something like below, where you can interchange between normal tap water & filtered water.

Any consideration or survey you have done so far? What kind of water filter you prefer?

i'm not too sure.... but every 3-5 years you need to change the membrane.

alternatively, you can add one more pre-filter before membrane...but not sure will reduce the overall flowrate n pressure or not.

Not sure also. I now is using sand filter outdoor water filter system, and the vessel is made of Fibreglass Reinforced Polymer (FRP) to ensure it strength and durability, and also can prevent sunlight as bacteria and those fungus easily and grow fast with sunlight. laugh.gif

most membrane are 0.01 micron (Hollow Fibre Membrane) : Mesh Size = SAME for most brands

I would say more than 90% or may be 100% the membrane filters in Malaysia are actually OEM in CHINA and they are actually +- the same thing with different branding only.

Membrane filters generally have two types
1) Hollow Fibre membrane
2) Multipore membrane or some name it multibore or 7 capillary

Membrane has different types of material, PAN is mainly used in malaysia (cheapest) while some brands do have PVDF and PVC which are better
1) PAN
2) PVDF
3) PVC
4) and etc etc

With this, may be u can google and get detail info about the type and material of the membrane. Hence, u will get a more accurate and neutral answer smile.gif

NOTE : FLOWRATE and Membrane durability against water pressure in the catalogs could be inaccurate. For example, some brands spec their membrane filter can withstand upto 8 bar of pressure but actually it is referring to the filter casing is able to withstand upto 8 bar while normal PAN - Hollow Fibre can only withsand 3bar + (Not specify in catalog)

PM me the price for the below items:
1. 3M AP902
2. 3M AP DWS1000
3. Culligan WSH-C125
4. 3M AP Easy Cyst Full Flow
5. 3M HCD-2

For item 4 and 5 are optional as I am still considering, but do quote me the price for 1,2, and 3 along with their catridges for maintenance.

From your opinion, according to the items listed above; would my water filteration system would be overdo?

From what I read online, item no.4 can filter 0.1 micron. Would it be suitable for drinking?

I got another question is that, my concealed piping is rusting (from what I can tell by the look of the external port). As I know, rusted piping would cause amount of iron and my current piping aged about 10 years (I heard the max is 20 years). Would it still be safe after using filteration products?

Item no4 is 0.5 micron not 0.1
http://www.3m.com/3M/en_US/company-us/all-...91865871&rt=rud

best to change the pipes, but if u cant, then your best option will be 3M DWS2500 or Aquaphor Crystal Eco (0.1 micron filtration). I do not sell 3M products u can check lazada for the pricing, price control, all dealers are selling +- the same price

Actually a 5 micron filtration is sufficient to significantly reduce rust. But to be more effective, more carbon + finer filtration would be able to reduce odor and iron
