Apartment, how to backwash.  hmm.

Where to get it for @RM450? I think I'll get the Secure over the Diamond Master Filter, since can DIY backwash and also to change the filter.
*
Jason - If the filter is easily accessible, put large bucket, backwash, dump water somewhere else. If its not easily accessible i.e. over the ledge, just turn it, pipe facing downwards, backwash, wait for people in ur block downstairs/management come find you brows.gif brows.gif kidding don't do that, might end up get boycotted by condo-mates.

Agree as above too. I am interested to know if there are any sellers too. Maybe we can get cheaper price or free installation since we have like 3 person interested here tongue.gif

By the way, does the RM450 include installation? I most probably gonna need that since I don't wanna flood my condo by DIY.

p/s: After some googling, found this https://www .facebook .com/pg/TrinfiniteMarketing/shop/

I am looking to replace my mom membrane outdoor filter, do you know any dealer doing " Secure back wash"?
*
The manufacturer is New world marketing based in Klang. Use keyword Secure back wash filter in google may return some results in lelong. Or call new world directly.
Btw, I didn't use their system. I shared this product because I find it value for money, low maintenance, can back wash, compact size.

Use a bucket.
The price RM450 was advertised in Chinese newspapers two three years ago.

This is not NSF certified, even their website didn't mention about it.

Please read my post again, I've specifically mentioned replace the CTM-01 cartridge with NSF certified C-Complete cartridge yet you conveniently omitted 3M C-Complete cartridge in my post.
Those who find eSpring unaffordable can opt for this low cost method to have access to cleaner NSF certified drinking water.

Their facebook have not been updated since 2013... scary.. Want to buy something easier to get consumable replace. Don't want to end up need to search high and low for consumable or keeping receipt just to buy consumable.

Yes bro, I'm recommending 3M CTM-01 with C-Complete cartridge because it offers affordable price with NSF certified water quality.
As the matter of fact, I will share and recommend any brand which offers low price point + good water quality. For example, I recommended Culligan IC-EZ-4 as the most value for money NSF certified water filter @ USD60.00+ 3 years ago.
I also recommended Secure back wash POE filter because of it's low pricing, cheaper cartridges, built in back wash without the ugly additional control valve/piping for back wash, compact size etc. BTW, it will nice if you get the dealership for this POE filter. The built in back wash with one easy twist is amazing.
https://www.google.com.my/search?q=secure+b...y&client=safari
11street ada, lelong pun ada.
I think the company never bother to advertise it's product, it distributed mainly via water filter shops and hardware shops.

Indeed, use a bucket. I was pretty amazed by the neatness of the built in back wash where you don't see messy piping and control valves.

I think hardware shops in Klang area should have it at cheaper price without installation. just need to call New World Marketing for the list of dealerships. You are a handy man, installation should not be a problem for you, more so, it doesn't need extra piping and control valves for back wash.

C-CTM-01 cartridge is tested in accordance to NSF/ANSI standard only, no certification, that's why cheaper. Whereas C-Complete is NSF tested and certified and using the same filter head (picture below) as in CTM-01. Therefore both cartridges are interchangeable.
Just change the cartridge in CTM-01 with C-Complete to turn 3M CTM-01 to NSF certified 3M AP Easy Complete.

Oh ya, I never though of that.
Physically, C-CTM-01 is about 20% smaller than C-Complete. Smaller diameter and shorter length in dimension. But the connector for the filter head remains the same for both cartridges. The carbon block undoubtedly should be smaller than C-Complete and as for material differences, I guess it should be the same as in C-Complete since both are tested in accordance to NSF/ANSI Standard, just that CTM-01 didn't pay for the certification to keep the price low. BTW, I'm just guessing, I'm not sure if NSF tests, certification and listing cost money or it's entirely free. Correct me if I'm wrong.

There is 1 time fees depending on what level & standard to be certified for.
The below link estimate $1500-$2500, but not sure is that applicable for water treatment standard.
I don't really think the cost can make any difference of the pricing for filters.
http://www.bpiworld.org/Resources/Document...012%20Final.pdf

If your product is certified, note that there's still random plant site inspection & retesting every year. If the re-certification fail, the products will be removed from NSF listing, this is what happens to Diamond older filters some times ago.
http://www.nsf.org/regulatory/regulator-nsf-certification

NSF is an independent non profit organization, some people thought it's a government body but it is not.

u may wanna ask them to show u how the filter looks like after installation...

Most of the membrane filters in malaysia are HOLLOW FIBRE MEMBRANE and they look like this after installation (on the left) while we actually got our supplier to manufacture a better design (on the right) with new generation membrane MultiPore system

wow the installation is really ugly! what is difference between hollow fibre membrane and Multipore membrane?
a lot of sales man selling the sand filter tells me membrane gets clogged easily and expensive to change the filter cartridge. ( around 500 not including plumber cost)

I need to decide soon, want to finish reno and move in to the house.

You do regular back wash, is ok. There also the timer will do daily 1min back wash. My mom membrane filter already more than 5 years. Only recently the piping outside leaking, and the timer die plus membrane need replacement so plan to try other small. I remember membrane is about 400+ few years back.

And btw, my mom house piping not ugly, is all about how the installer do for you.
