Re-entered at 86 sen

IMHO this counter anything below 90 sen still can load

Watch out for further volatility, I take volatility as opportunity to load up

That day got one point at noon dropped to 82 sen I missed it doh.gif

Check out its PE and divvy yield brows.gif

Carmen:duit, I am very sorry to tell TENAGA drop so much after we end our talk.
duit: what should I do now?
Carmen: Based on my experience it is very common for me as I have seen this for many years already. I suggest you to CUT everything now if not will drop more than this figure. Still remember SIFU say Rule No.1 Preserve Capital??? Must not violate, cost is expensive
duit: Panic.....sigh.. OK. I trust you since it is common and you have great experience in it. Cut everything (110 lots)at RM12.48
Carmen: Thanks for trust me! Sure we can buy cheapest later to earn double. Trust me okay...

PE looks decent

Divvy-wise, even if they cut payout to reduce to around 5% divvy yield, still nice ma biggrin.gif

So many negative news abound, I wait for big bad news to crash stocks then buy cheaper ma blush.gif

average company selling at .... slightly below average price only.

*if* the main idea is to trade on the best stocks at the best prices... then this one falls short.

big *if* hor....
so many people have so many different ideas on what's good and what's not.... and also what constitutes a good trade/a smart trade/a fair trade/etc etc etc...

** the lower oil prices 'should' help for the time being but for how long would oil prices stay low?

** lower ringgit represents a boom for exporters which means business from exporting companies should be decent

** however, the lower ringgit, has a negative side.... costs of parts used by its logistics division should most likely be higher....

** plus.. with the utter powder puff power of the ringgit, most importers are cautious, they can't be gung ho as last year since the current forex difference would most likely cause imported products to be much costlier.....
the importers are most likely witnessing pullback in consumer spending due to the gst/etc.....

*** last year results were made to look higher due to disposal of property......

*** this year, the purchased a huge plot of land for warehousing uses... and this has caused a huge dent in their balance sheet....

all said.... I rate it an average stock....... icon_rolleyes.gif

Talk own self again.... rclxm9.gif

laugh.gif

Never think like an investor when you are trading.....

oops.... I think the opposite holds true also...

ie never think like a trader when you are an investor....

this is for those who loves chasing falling stocks...

example?

AirAsia.

Well? AirAsia mah...

many are WRONGLY thought to buy/invest based on what they see... tongue.gif
for example...
they go airport...
they see...
so many fei kei...
all also say....
can fly...
all red color...
so many AirAsia...
business must be good....
how can it not be good?
when so many are flying AirAsia?

so when they see it fall...
they say...
bargain...
sifu from mountain...
says so one...

I saw GMT video.... have you?

https://vimeo.com/131236783

to check what the Mat Salleh talk about the related party profits....inflating profits....

I also sibuk myself mah...
don't pick lose...
see myself...

http://cdn1.i3investor.com/my/files/dfgs88...--591047246.pdf

user posted image

I think it's the profits stated under 'Share of results of associates - see notes 23' ..... 33.1 million....

"Thai AirAsia achieved an operating profit of THB1,195.0 million in 1Q15, compared to an
operating profit of THB346.6 million in 1Q14. Thai AirAsia achieved a net profit of
THB922.8 million in 1Q15, compared to a net profit of THB244.7 million in 1Q14.
AirAsia Berhad has equity accounted RM37.1 million in 1Q15, as reflected in the AirAsia
Berhad income statement"

what Mat saying....
AirAsia Thai losses...
went to losses heaven lor....

"The AirAsia Berhad share of the net loss in 1Q15 amounted to RM73.5 million. However,
as the Group’s interest in Indonesia AirAsia has been reduced to zero any profits will only
be recognized when a total of RM407.9 million of unrecognized losses have been reversed."

and same with Philipines.... went to losses heaven also... tongue.gif

"AirAsia Philippines recorded a net loss of RM25.7 million (quarter ended 31 March 2014:
net loss of RM24.6 million) in the quarter under review out of which RMNil million is
equity accounted in the AirAsia Berhad income statement. As the Group’s interest in
AirAsia Philippines has been reduced to zero, in accordance with MFRS128, any profits
will only be recognized when a total of RM112.8 million of unrecognized losses have been
reversed."

so these losses not accounted....
dunno go where...
so profits look higher than it should be.... tongue.gif

ps: clearly I am not an accountant.... so I only see laaa....
ps: I do not think accountant is a prerequisite to be a trader la..... or am I WRONG here? tongue.gif

ok... even if all the above is acceptable...
I see this...

user posted image

I can see so many issues....
like sales revenue is down...
most costs are up.... (compared to same quarter last year laa.... )

anyway.... no 11. shows a disposal gain.... 62 million.
and then... the big disposal gain of AirAsia Expedia... which contributed 320 million...

all these one of gains.... yes? sweat.gif

if AirAsia did not sell AirAsia Expedia...
would AirAsia even be making money for the quarter?

and remember how much losses it recorded the previous quarter?

THIS i think is the real problem....

clearly money... is a REAL issue...
it's not a joke when you have 1.6 billion cash but carry a loan of 13.1 BILLION...

and a commitment to take delivery of 81 billion worth of fei kei.

this is clearly not sustainable...

CLEARLY BILLION DOLLAR DEBTs is NOT a sports for Malaysia companies..................

yeah..... do see the GMT video.... see it over and over again...

ps: what is AirAsia NTAB?
Answer? 1.64

trick question:
with AirAsia main assets being fei kei's....
assets which are depreciating...
and with AirAsia 's debts exploding at dunno what rate.....
why on earth should AirAsia even trade higher than its NTAB?

yes? no? yes? no?

trick question:
what is AirAsia market capital at 1.64?
ie... in layman's term...if AirAsia sells all its shares at a price of 1.64, how much is AirAsia worth?
Answer: 4.564 billion!!!

now I ask myself...
given AirAsia's balance sheet issues....
it's profitability...
it's BILLION dollar currency hedges.....
should AirAsia be worth 4.564 billion?

ps: would you pay 4.564 billion ringgit to own a company which has 13.1 billion in debts?

something long isn't it?

ps: I wonder Mat GMT got see latest profit report from AirAsia or not?

Stock hitting 52 weeks highs....
when they hit.....
would you bet that the stock would gostan soon?

or would you think that the chances are the stock could hit several more highs?

hey... aren't there stocks that seem to be able to hit highs years and years?

no? yes? no? yes?

So how come.....
when a stock hit a 52 weeks low...
how come want to start bargain higher?

won't the same hold true as stocks hitting highs?
ie won't the chances be high that the stock could hit several more lows?

or are we suckered into the fallacy of the mountain sifu that what falls must equals to golden opportunity?

no? yes? no? yes?

yes... some fallen stocks are indeed an opportunity.... but many aren't.
know the difference.....

it's like a stock breaking out of a trading range....
when it breaks out higher.....
wouldn't the chances be more that the stock could continue higher?

so why doesn't the reverse hold true?
when a stock breaks lower....
wouldn't the chances be more that the stock could trade lower?

why rush chasing a falling stock?

lol...

that is only 1 of Buffet's investing guide.
but be greedy when everyone is fearful only apply for stock that is qualified and offer below its value.

Special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) Sona Petroleum Bhd said it is still confident of meeting its July 30, 2016 deadline to make a qualifying acquisition (QA), following its failed move to acquire Salamander Energy (Bualuang Holdings) Ltd.

Despite the July 2016 deadline, giving slightly more than a year for the SPAC to make its QA, Sona chairman Andre van Strijp while speaking to reporters after the company’s annual general meeting today, said the company still has enough time to properly evaluate its options.

Sona's managing director Datuk Seri Hadian Hashim said the company was still focusing on the Southeast Asian, Middle Eastern and African regions, aiming to acquire low risk small-to-medium exploration and production (E&P) assets.

He added that Sona is looking at onshore and shallow water projects, and is not looking at acquisitions outside the specified regions.

1. Tourist attraction.
2. A must visit POI.
3. Major Event still held around KLCC area.
4. More luxury hotel besides KLCC.

But Pavilion got more upmarket stuff

I think both have its merits

But I think KLCC got more office exposure, and that is a potential risk

Whereas PAV office only contributes <5% revenue

Regarding KLCC vs. Pavilion...
Will Paviion eventually benefit from MRT? The station is at what was formerly BB Plaza hmm.gif

KLCC used to be my favorite, but now I only go there for Kinokuniya. The KLCC management is lousy...
Some of you are probably not aware that there is a large convention center in Shah Alam. It is stealing business from KL Convention Center.
And what is Petronas Twin Towers, now that there are so many taller skyscrapers.

KLCC management often takes weeks to fix facilities which are out of order.
And, try compare KLCC's toilets to those in other malls.

And, try compare KLCC's toilets to those in other malls.
I am talking about tourists. Do you think PRC are still interested in Twin Towers, now that there are four taller buildings in China? Or five, if you count Taipei 101.

Perfect Storm in the making?

With the big share drops in China, Greece's NO vote, 1MXX-$ transfers, etc etc, I am surprised that the markets are still holding there.

Maybe just need a another small but sharp pick at the bubble?

Stock hitting 52 weeks highs....
when they hit.....
would you bet that the stock would gostan soon?

or would you think that the chances are the stock could hit several more highs?

hey... aren't there stocks that seem to be able to hit highs years and years?

no? yes? no? yes?
So how come.....
when a stock hit a 52 weeks low...
how come want to start bargain higher?

won't the same hold true as stocks hitting highs?
ie won't the chances be high that the stock could hit several more lows?
or are we suckered into the fallacy of the mountain sifu that what falls must equals to golden opportunity?

no? yes? no? yes?
yes... some fallen stocks are indeed an opportunity.... but many aren't.
know the difference.....
it's like a stock breaking out of a trading range....
when it breaks out higher.....
wouldn't the chances be more that the stock could continue higher?

so why doesn't the reverse hold true?
when a stock breaks lower....
wouldn't the chances be more that the stock could trade lower?

why rush chasing a falling stock?
lol...

one of the many mysteries in the stock market.....
*
Trick picture....

how many 52 weeks low can you see since 2011 for the stock below?

user posted image

ps: whatever terror geng theory you hear..... dig out the data.... and see....

Parkson now is 1.34 .....

See it never pays to assume...

1. Buying 52 weeks low?
How many new 52 weeks low has Parkson registered lately?

2. Buying a branded name?
Never assume that buying a branded name at low prices will make you win money.

Examples? Airasia, AAX, Parkson..... all big brands....
chasing their lows ..... ???

current results speaks for itself.

3. Never think like an investor when you are trading....

LOL!
The reverse holds true too!
Never think like a trader when you are investing.

4. Don't simply follow research reports.

Yeah... when AirAsia hit 160s... Kenanga gave report TP 1.85.
But let us not forget this was a MAJOR downgrade in TP.
The previous TP was 2.55.

omiiiidog...... what on earth is TP?

LOL!

Did one take the time to read why the downgrade?

5. Eat when everyone is not hungry?
LOL!

Dunno about you...
Me eat when I am hungry.

Going after fallen stocks have far greater risk.

If one blindly buy a falling stock cos of the brand name...
One would easily bought into Parkson at 2.00 recently.

Look at Parkson now....

PS: stocks do not fall without a reason...usually.

I have followed the Greece news closely and I can assure you that it was non-stop. It's true that not everyone was in a meeting for all 17 hours. A couple of times Tusk, Hollande, Merkel and Tsipras met in private to iron out problems. I understand that during this time the other delegates either slept, ate or played video games on their phones. I know that the Prime Minister of Slovenia left after 12 hours because he had an appointment with the head of NATO back in his own country. The summit began on Sunday afternoon and lasted until Monday morning. After that instead of going home to sleep, they had to attend press conferences and go back to their own countries to brief their own governments. The schedule is really insane.

Hi guise...

So my prediction and holding in poh huat did surge but very lambat due to unstable international issue like greece and local political scene...

However price suddenly surge past 2 days to 2.41, im guessing as people chase this stock for the dividend that willbe issued on 20th july...

Yes market recovered greatthe last few days as evident by the bursa composite benchmark, this benchmark also reflect my holding tongue.gif

Bleeding when it drops below 1700 and recovering greatly when it up back 172x biggrin.gif

Fair reasoning on the warrants, esp when you take conversion price into consideration.

To all Sifu,
I got 1 question. Y some warrant bonus listing price is 0.005 and limit up on 0.305 on the first day. but homeritz one is 0.13 (1.05-0.92) on the listing days with limit up at 0.65? I also know less than rm1 stock 1 day limit is +-0.3 and whereby first day listing got extra limit.

Bursa posts higher profit
Bursa Malaysia Bhd reported a 5.6% growth in its net profit for the second financial quarter ended June 30, 2015 to
RM49.49m or 9.3 sen per share, from RM46.85m or 8.8sen per share on lower operating expenses. Revenue had
increased by 3.1% to RM127.02m from RM 123.15m in 2QFY14, mainly due to the increase in its listing and issuer
services revenue, as a result of higher perusal and processing fees earned from a higher number of new structured
warrant listings and corporate exercises. For the first half, Bursa reported a 4.9% increase in net profit to RM96.54m
or 18.10 sen per share from RM 92m or 17.30 sen per share in 1HFY14, due to higher operating revenue. Revenue
increased by 3.2% to RM254.11m from RM246.32m on higher revenue from its depository services, which was
brought about by higher Central Depository System custody fees, additional issue fees and Securities Borrowing and
Lending Fees. It declared that an interim dividend of 16.5 sen per share.

in the share market...
if you want to be a good trader....
'long lost' ? - these two words should never exist for the trader....

If one blindly buy a falling stock cos of the brand name...
One would easily bought into Parkson at 2.00 recently.

Look at Parkson now....
PS: stocks do not fall without a reason...usually.

Are you implying that the price of that warrant is 0.13 but its upper limit price is at 0.65? It could be the range of the trading in percentages that requires a warrant that need to be higher since it is a 400% return if we assume it that way. A 0.43 limit may be too small to justify (although it is a 231% return). Just my theory, never played those bonus warrant listings before.

I think PE around 30 should be reasonable for large cap F&B companies (Nestle,Dutch Lady..etc). They have products like Maggi, Nescafe which are "necessities" but tongkat ali and ah huat coffees haven't reached there yet.

Still buying at PE of around or below 15 is still good for long term. Especially if one day Power root become large cap like Nestle with a PE of 30

2.5 sen quarterly dividend
1.30 seems to be quite a good support level
its products selling quite well (on-the-ground observation), not too cheap, not too premium, should be resilient in a downturn of consumer sentiment

G2000 quality and durability very good, but overpriced shakehead.gif

For that price, I can buy 2 times Padini icon_idea.gif

Good stock to hold IMHO, just watch out for significant deterioration of financial results

one question to all the expert here,

take example OSK and Homeritz warrant for example:

both being a dividend centric counter, how do you all calculate it's warrant pricing for the next 5 years since both give dividend more than 40% ?

unlike hevea and it's wb, hevea focus on growth and therefore we have better prediction on its warrant

and also pinky PJD-WC, if OSK managed to get 90% of PJD, what will happen to warrant next? auto convert?

That is slowdown in start-ups

Kitchen and wardrobe installation can only start after construction is completed, hence for companies like SIGN, they will only start recognise the revenue and profits AFTER construction work is at near-completion stage. smile.gif

Huh? CSCENIC has always been debt-free as far as I can remember... blink.gif

Ooh...they're doing business under their subsidiary's name, holding company is just more or less an empty shell holding company. Thus, got trade liabilities under Group, but holding company debt-free. icon_rolleyes.gif

Still, u compare the liabilities vs their cash holding... rolleyes.gif

i feel that osk is a good buy.

low PE, riding on RHB and OSK property business.

decent dividend yield

management style unlike BJcorp

although ah Ong might be chicky, but still so nice swap his pjd share for osk shareholder.... if me were him i rather hold pjd tight tight for himself

As in KLSE index and the worsening of ringgit. Yesterday's drop most stocks are effected, including export stocks.

So, I was asking the opinion of forumers if it's going to be long time bear mode like 2008 crash or just temporary.

Not every company will experience the same fate in a given economic condition.
Some will suffer, some will prosper .

And yeah..blindly holding on, despite worsening profits...
isn't too smart....

If fundamentals are intact, but merely market sentiment driving it down...just sit still...

When u INVEST in the stock market, u invest with money that u don't need to use in the next 2-3 years...best if 5-10 years...

Bear or bull, if u invest in quality, u will go thru with respectable profits

i bought since 2.4 and sold around rm 3 last week. This small 2 cents loss is compensated by that.

Exactly what i wondering this morning, sentiment is not improving any time soon, and i don't want this loss to eat my previous round profit.
