Is it installment done via merchant or from Maybank itself?

If from Merchant, no way to early settle.

If from Maybank, call in and email their card center and ask for early settlement.

Called them already.
EPP can be full settle without any penalty.

You missed the question thou.

Izzit EPP via merchant or EPP via call in?

I have experience settling EPP via call in lump sum with no penalty because the interest is already charged to the full amount.

But for via Merchant, I remember can't settle early one. Eg - When you EPP an iPhone from Maxis and etc.

But do correct me if I am wrong. It's good for others to know as well.

not true for OCBC bank.
when i cancel my OCBC card, i go to the branch but the staff ask me use phone call instead.
the staff say even do in branch, they also help you make the call and you talk to the CS directly.
*
Not sure the staff lazy or what.
By right, you need to surrender the card and in return you will get termination letter.

Not true also.

Many many years ago, I walked in to branch to cancel card. They cut it into 2 and that's it. No letter whatsoever.

Correct. Retention period of the voice recording is typically 180 days for contact center.

If you call to cancel note the name of the CS attending you and request for acknowledgement letter. A few days after that give them a follow up call.

The clause has been removed last few days but insider news says it's confirmed the 5% weekends rebate will only be applicable for dining from 1st August onward.

If you have an annual income of RM 100k, PBB Visa Signature and Maybank Visa Signature are good.
Else, you have to mix and match with different cards but still most of us still haven't sorted the utilities bills payment to maximize cash back.

Both of these cards are good if you can spend a lot. I don't spend a lot, that's the problem. laugh.gif
For groceries and petrol, you can also consider Maybank Ikhwan and UOB One for petrol I think.
