He's just surveying around, I think I saw one of his posts that he hasn't owned any credit card yet.
Well, there's no wrong of checking around but I don't think speculation is right. smile.gif

Hmmm I used my cards mainly for bills followed by groceries than petrol. Easily RM 2k/month.

I think HLB wise even with rm160 AF, I can save more but no reward points which previously for Amex is best but now just not really good anymore.

yes. I agree. wise is your best alternative provided you are confident you can fulfill their monthly cash back requirement.

HLB Wise is another option for those who earn 36k but this card is hard to get from my experience. So far my usage is like this:

MBB Amex- For everything that accept Amex and used it in weekends only
Uob One -Petrol on weekday if no other choice
Uob Vox- All online transaction that doesn't accept Amex
Cimb cash rebate - Any other purchases after all the above.

Now with Amex revised clause, i had to figure out how to maximize the benefits of my existing cards.
*
uob one iirc, wil change the tnc too.
weekday petrol 2% and weekend 5%.

i suppose you are referring to swipes for Jun 2015 right?

For July 2015 swipes all the weekend dates in July still entitle for 5% CB, or its there a cut off date in July?

Well, chill down guys. MBB Amex still a good card and no annual fee but there is still GST to offset. Lets all wait and see what happens next.

on a side note, since i'm researching, i've figured out posonline (couple with pbb vs) can pay alot more bills, like:
mb johor bahru
iwk

syabas
syarikat air johor

hopefully those can get pbb vs 6% online, "thanks" to mbb for letting me research

may switch my existing HLB WISE card category from Groceries to pharmacies/departmental, since pbb vs covers groceries 6%  and the frequency i did pharmacies could be more than groceries, which is not that often.
*
pay bill with posonline no fees?

If i'm not mistaken it was replaced with GST. This is stated in their website.

Come august 1st, if you are the one who does dining up to rm1k a month, then it is useful for you. If you use it for Petrol, groceries, bills, better look elsewhere.

What it meant is if you pay late, got gst. Other than that, card is free for life.

Sorry for misunderstand, i am not aware that the charge is no longer applicable to MBB cards. Because last time there is a debate about this charge. If like this perhaps this card still worth keeping.
