Seems like Maybank Ikhwan is the best alternative for me. Mainly on petrol. HLB wise is too much for me, I dont spend that much (10 x RM50 transactions). UOB one card (gold), capped at RM300 for petrol, still maybank ikhwan wins.

The idea of using codes is it won't turn up on Google. Second, it will be harder for banks to read how one "abuse" the system. Making a particular benefit to last longer.

Use UOB one to maximise cashback from petrol. After maximum cash back, only switch to Maybank Ikhwan or else you have no card to use for groceries.

With majority of M2C user switching to Maybank Ikhwan, I don't think this card will last very long. cry.gif

We are not abusing the benefits. Those are their features, not that we use any back door ways. I really don't understand this point. doh.gif

Look at it this way. If you spend MAX RM1000/card, after that use another card and you always pay on time, how is Maybank going to earn?

HLB wise if you spent a lot and get rm100 cashback each month , I don't think the annual fees is a prob lol. Can get max rm1200 per year cashback right. But problem is I don't spend that much.

Other banks will also have the same problem if this is considered as a problem.

not every cardholder settles 100% of his/her statement balance promptly, banks can still make money. somemore banks earn money from renting out credit card terminal machines as well. banks may be earning profits from other activities that we may not notice, their intention is to maintain/increase its customer base and earn more money from these customers
