QUOTE(azkoleq @ Nov 19 2015, 08:50 AM) You can try to purchase using this website for ghili museum or doraemon museum. Omg.... U really save me... I had 3 Japanese person at Tokyo help me hunt this tickets but cud not get it because it was sold out for this week. They check at Lawson website n went to Lawson store also but it was sold out.. Two of them was my host for the apartment at Japan. Hahaha.. https://bridge.jpn.com/tickets.php Bridge Japan was really helpful. They were so efficient in replyin emails n they manage to find tickets the very next day.. They wanted to give up coz the date was too near moreover it was a ph last weekend so the post office was close.. I had to pay almost triple the price usin them but it was all worth it... Apparently tickets are sold out too fast when it is release within a mth |

QUOTE(notok @ Nov 22 2015, 10:25 PM) Currently in tokyo now. Want to ask is there any tax free shop selling all kind of kit kats? If no, can i buy it and then claim the tax at airport ? Some pharmacy allows instant tax rebate on their counter if your purchases exceeded Y5000.. that's when i was in Osaka.. |

Just came back from Japan yesterday, visited Koyasan, Kyoto, Osaka, Takayama, Shirakawa-go and Kanazawa in 10 days. Overall our trips were smooth and never get lost and I found their signage is very clear and not too complicated to understand. I think able to read Kanji is definitely an advantage to travel in Japan.
Amongst the cities mentioned above, think I like Takayama and Shirakawa-go the most and never regret spending extra transportation cost to go there. Kyoto and Osaka are too crowded in my opinion. Kiyomizudera have nothing to shout about but the early morning walk to the top of Fushimi Inari was interesting and enjoyable. And we enjoy very much on the hike from Takao to Kiyotaki (东海自然步道). Can't wait to visit Japan again. |

QUOTE(JooSeng @ Nov 25 2015, 03:17 PM) so u took direct train from osaka to takayama (the 5hrs train ride, if im not mistaken)? No, I travelled from Kyoto to Nagoya by Shinkansen Nozomi (35 mins ride not covered by Takayama Hokuriku pass but we want to experience Japan's bullet train so don't mind paying extra), then Nagoya to Takayama (2.5 hours), reached Takayama about 10am, so have enough time to explore Takayama. Stayed one night at Takayama, then taking the earliest reserved Nohi bus next morning at 7:50am, reached Shirakawa-go before 9am and left Shirakawa-go with the reserved Nohi bus at 1:50pm to Kanazawa. Arrived Kanazawa at about 3pm, stayed one night at Kanazawa, left Kanazawa the next day afternoon to Shin-Osaka with Limited express Thunderbird (2.5 hours). Then we used the same pass to travel between Kyoto and Shin-Osaka and from Shin-Osaka to Kansai Airport too.just want to know if it's doable or not cuz KLCC travel agent advice to stop at kanazawa one night before continue to takayama. And I made the reservation for the Nohi bus online one month before the travel date and get the tickets when I reached Nohi bus station. No hassle with the reservation made. |

QUOTE(JooSeng @ Nov 25 2015, 05:28 PM) Thanks RegentCid & jefferenelee for sharing some insight about ur trip. Kanazawa have autumn light up when I was there on 20/11/2015 and the entrance to Kenrokuen garden was free at night. It was quite nice to walk around the light up garden though. The light up will be held in certain fixed date for all the four seasons of the year. If you stay one night at Kanazawa, can consider visit the Omichio market for some nice sashimi too.Now u guys got me thinking to reconsider kanazawa and fukui. |

No hassle with the reservation made. you will arrive in gero about 2 hours, try gero 噴泉池, free and beside river after that you can proceed to takayama You may choose to stay in takayama or Hirayu onsen or Okuhida onsen staying one night the next day you can proceed to shirakawa-go, suggest to stay one night there at night you can drive up to the mountain, for the peaceful village night view and also the milky way, it is so damn beautiful especially at winter time. you may proceed to kanazawa or go back to nagoya if you like natural, suggest you plan more day around takayama area. around end of April, Kamikochi will be open up for forest hiking and lodging, and will be close at mid of November PS: i would recommend must stay at 槍見館, i had one of the best kaiseki in Japan especially the beef, 10x better than overate kobe beef |

For those of you visiting Legoland, you may purchase tickets from Japanican to enjoy some savings rather than buy directly from Legoland website. Buying a parent and child combo ticket from Legoland directly costs ¥3000 but if you buy from Japanican you pay ¥2800 instead.
