I just book Global Advance Communication. Eco 21mbps version. 5850yen for 10 days unlimited data. Credit card statement was Rm215. Thought it was a good deal as i have 4 other person with me. Not sure how well it works but review was good. My trip only in december.

I used Global Advance Communication too during my previous trip. Would recommend it.

For me, if I were to travel alone I would probably just rent SIM card. But I always travel with at least one other person. And between the two of us got 4 devices to access internet, so pocket wifi is more convenient.

I also always use globaladvancedcomm. Previous trip used the 'premium' model (cos driving around hokkaido). What I like most about it over the eco model is the battery life -- easily last from 6am to midnight no problem, whereas the eco model can't last one whole day.
