QUOTE(wil-i-am @ Oct 1 2015, 07:57 AM) I agreed to certain extent. But the profit rate of MBSB is more or less guaranteed. I said guaranteed as it is an Islamic product. Both are NOT capital guaranteed. Have already put in some eggs in MBSB, will be adding more soon. |

Anyone sign-up the recent OCBC FD Trolley Bag/Air Purifier Giveaway Campaign ? Did the officer told ur that Air Purifier is limited to first 50 units only ? This T&C is not per OCBC website intro and hotline customer service reply but according to OCBC officer, the T&C is per their internal doucumentation, really annoying and I endeded up putting my FD with HLB.

I read so many bad reviews about OCBC in here. I also went to OCBC branch the other day but looks like a lot of things very fishy, whereby they have some internal documents which doesn't seem to be the same for every branch |

QUOTE(bbgoat @ Oct 1 2015, 07:49 AM) This looks like the 4.5% MBB offer that I described. Except yesterday the MBB branch claimed that MBB guarantee the capital. But looks like capital NOT guaranteed !!! So this makes me hesitate and may pull out all my eggs in MBB and put else where. Ha ha ha ! eg I put 10k, 1 year later, for whatever reasons, I won't get my initial 10k back? if MBB without pidm, still okay for me, but the other disclaimers are a worrying :DDD u go bambu ur RM la, ask him why not guaranteed, even stated in b&w on websites. how to put the trust onto them le. |

QUOTE(msa9696 @ Oct 1 2015, 12:55 AM) Keep the sms, write in a complaint on this matter. They ignored my first letter under "feedback", and then I sent another one under "complaint" and they the banker in charged of my FD called me. He asked me why I wrote a complaint and it directed to him, guess it will affect his performance? I'm not sure about that. Anyway I told him it's not his fault but it's the stupid marketing department causing so much ambiguity. He says he will feedback to the management. But I believe if everyone starts writing in, it might help as they might seriously look into this when they keep receiving the same complaint. Moreover it also serves as a documentation that you have highlighted this before, so that you might have a point to argue later. Also don't delete your sms Thanks for the advice. I have officially file in feedback and call-up customer service hotline. According to the customer service, so long as I have registered via SMS and I successfully did the placement bore the ecpiry of the promotion period, I will be qualified for the gifts even without showing the SMS as proof. Can trust ah ? |

Simple, if they dont give you the gift, remove the FD. If they ask cut your principle, complain to bnm. Sure they will refund you. |

I can share my experience with OCBC. I saw Ringgitplus promo for OCBC FD giving free trolley bag. I signed up via Ringgit plus, and they sent me SMS to be shown to OCBC.
I went to OCBC, opened FD with RM, showed her sms, but she said no need, as long as i registered with ringgitplus, system will take care of it. Exactly how, she wouldn't know. So I trusted her. Next day I wrote to Ringgit plus, notifying them I had opened FD but OCBC didn't want to see my SMS. They responded vaguely, with scipted reply, I can't remember. So I actually gave up. After some time, a week or two, can't recall, Ringgitplus sent me email asking for delivery address. So I was happy that they honored what they had advertised. After a few days, I got the bag. Now that I got the bag, I have at least 2-3 new bags unopened, still in box. Hope this helps. |

QUOTE(LNYC @ Oct 1 2015, 12:42 PM) If you count the effective rates, you won't get 4.33% in 21 months. You will get lesser. But if you put 4.2% with ambank and upon maturity, put another 4.2% FD with the interest gained, I think you will get more compare to Affin. If affin 4.33% for 15 months, I will say go ahead. The 6 months at 3.8% not worth. To qualify for the 4.33%, one needs to put 6 months first. This post has been edited by Ramjade: Oct 1 2015, 12:50 PM |
