Hi sifus, does anybody know can i place an fd at a branch and nominate to uplift in another branch on maturity? If so, can this be done for both board rates, promo rates and finance company like mbsb ?

I'm currently working in one city but in a year's time very likely will be in another state.

Another mbb offer which is 3 months with 5k fresh month with benchmark of klibor 3 month 3.92+ 0.2 =4.12% , this is the best offer for short term.

Dear Sifu, I went to make a placement on the very last day of OCBC 13m 4.2% promotion. During account opening, I've asked the staff whether I need to shown them the SMS registration to proof my eligibility. The staff told me he is only in charge of account opening and I need to show it to the teller later when I surrender my banker's cheque for them to print me the FD Cert. After completion of account opening, all the forms were submitted to the teller by the staff and I was told to wait for them to call my name. However, the teller didn't ask for proof of the registration SMS and I too have forgotten to ask them.

If such event, am I still entitle to the gifts ? What should I do now to ensure I'm entitle to the free gifts？

OK, guys, the MBB 4.5% offer is NOT an FD product.

I was in a way bluffed by the MBB branch manager when he called me yesterday after 7pm. This guy has carefully used terms on step-up, monthly interest etc without saying it is FD. So the 4.5% is actually a general investment product NOT covered under PIDM. The principal is guaranteed by Maybank only. Profit rate is not guaranteed. Except they claim that they have been paying out as indicated.

I got the info from another MBB branch.

The MBB BM called me as he tried to get me to stayput my matured FD (large amount by MY Standard, sub sub sui for some )

So for me, I may put some amount there in this product but pull out majority of the FD from them tomorrow. Will try to get some brochure on
this if they give it out. Some of the banks do not give out the brochure on this type of products.

I looked at this again and this is the product that the MBB BM told me. Over the phone he said 1 to 6 mths 4%. Same as this one.

Heard some sort of under general investment product. Tomorrow will be going to MBB branch, need to run to few banks to dispose of the FD.

Now only you know? Uncle goat bbgoat is memang HNWI. Can play CD and send kid to US, put RM500k FD. If not HNWI, I eat my hat.

be very careful with maybank 'promotions', past experience told me that their marketing tactics are rather misleading.

I dont think u would get 4.5% p.a. for 12months with guarantee interest return.
