One of my houses using Hisense aircons. The cooling suck balls even for 2hp . Very slow cooling and even slower to switch on and off. After warranty ends, want to switch to Panasonic

Now my new house i fix all Panasonic. So so so much better than any China or Korean brand. Cools super fast and damn cold.

Pls avoid Samsung, Hisense , and the rest of the junk from China.

I have midea hisense no issue with cooling.. Maybe you undersize the aircond. Two of my sharp aircond already dead before china aircond

I have 2 Midea Aircond 1.0 HP for my small bedrooms, it's already 5th year and it is very cold like antartica. Service regularly should be fine.

Hi all,

I'm about to move into a subsale condo unit that has been unoccupied for the past 9 to 10 months.
plan to do a basic A/C service (2 units in the living room, 1 in the master, and 1 in the 2nd room).

I got a quote of RM320 from a company recommended by the JMB. Is this price reasonable, or can I get it cheaper elsewhere?

Thanks

You have to check what is their scope of service.

Average 80 per unit and my guess is just the indoor unit using canvas and water spray and maybe some chemical.

Without inspecting the units, it is difficult to what type of service is required.

If it poorly maintain, I suggest doing a complete service of both indoor and outdoor unit, i.e. the tech has to dismantle both indoor and outdoor unit to service. Price roughly about 150 per unit but if more units it will be cheaper per unit. You nego lar.

Discuss with the tech first.

I have a 1.5hp sharp non inverter used more than 10 yrs running fine. Was wondering if I need to upgrade the outdoor capacitor to have better cooling? Does it make sense?

In my opinion that doesn't make sense. Want better cooling, just change aircond to larger HP.

I can do it cheaper than that price, but do you think I want to travel to your place to do it?

That's a good experiment to try. A capacitor costs about RM 18 - RM 25 only. Let us know the results after you change it

Do u guys really spend money to service ur aircon?

Or u guys just simply clean the filters by yourselves on regular basis but only pay money to get it service when it has prob such as water leaking etc.

Midea aircon is super cold indeed. I only set to 26 degree celcius but at nite it is also too cold until the fact that I need to off the aircon and on back regularly.

Not sure is it the sensor got prob so the temperature is not accurate or what? By rite if it is really just 26 degree as set it should not be that cold.

Clean filter monthly

Spend some money for annual deep cleaning

Actually you can DIY deep clean also but you need to know how to dissemble and reassemble the aircond. Also need some equipments

Ic. Becos I am renting apartment. Tot that if it does not have water leaking, then maybe I just skip the servicing. So far the aircons I used for 1.5 years already. So far so good. Cooling is ok, and no water leaking.

No need to wait for the aircond to start leaking, just do deep cleaning or yearly full service at least once a year

There's a time i did my aircond full service, already hit 1 year 4 month didn't do full service, but the aircond still cold and the airflow still fine, cuz every 2 weeks clean up the filter plus turn on air purifier, later call the aircond guy to do the full service, they said my aircond not too bad but it's about time to service
