Hi could you let me know which one you decide on? I'm looking at Panasonic, maybe 1.5HP for my house hall with inverter.

I'm on a budget and i think the older models are CS-PU line. Because i can't find them anymore on the Panasonic website.

If i'm not mistaken, it has been replaced by the CS-XPU line. Because it seems to be the entry level one.

Do let me know if you find somewhere with a good price including installation.

That's why aircond fellas always recommend Daikin because spare part readily available to replace 'when' and not 'if' it fails 😂. As I mentioned above I just feel brands like Hitachi, Mitsubishi and even China brands like Gree.. They are better built.. None of the Daikin I have or family member have a smooth ownership experience.. Performance is good.. But durability not so..

Pana had indoor blower design flaw where it rattles after few years for a few unlucky owners but now seems like fixed from what I hear and personally I rate them higher than Daikin too.. This weekend either getting Sharp or China brand like Gree/Midea.. Let's see. . Its fun to experiment with brands 😂 no offence to Daikin fans btw.. Aircond memang like buying durian sometimes 😂😂

Just installed daikin 2.5hp. Sadly has only 2 energy star rating. But so far no complaints. Uses r32

Sorry, by the blower unit, I meant the indoor unit.

I do clean the compressor / outdoor unit as well using a garden hose with decent pressure.

Something like this, but I would make sure the electrical parts are covered well with a big plastic bag to avoid any accidental water splashes. The way this guy does in this video it is a bit risky IMHO.

Guys, actually i notice non-inverter compressor, the speed also varied.

For those buying 1.0hp air conditioner, how big is your room size?

And when you size the air conditioner, do you calculate based on heat load at night or during the day? If considering usage most likely we would only be using them at night, except for weekends and on the days I WFH, so, do you guys suggest I "undersized" or "oversize" my air conditioner.

If I oversize, that would be additional 3-400 per unit x 6

Am eyeing at Sharp Jtech Inverter non plasma model too.. From the brochure, sharp stated that using for 180mins (3 hours) will able to save electricity unlike other brand that need 8 hours only the inverter can save electricity.

Anyone can confirm on this?
