There is no partition between living hall, dining area and dry kitchen. Only one aircon piping install at living hall. Thus, my choice is only 1 aircon for the whole area. Just the matter of whether getting 2hp inverter or a 2.5hp non inverter now. Ceiling height is around 9ft. What would u choose if you are me.
*
Mine similar case. So far dining, dry kitchen and living has enough cooling. Inverter type 2.5hp.

Always go for higher horsepower if u only plan to install one aircond only. Choose those able to do long throw air blowing type.

What is the minimum thickness of pipe for inverter aircond? Technician said 0.61mm is sufficient but catalogue recommended 0.80.

I googled and cannot find any review at all about Sharp Plasmacluster AHXP13WMD. Product info: https://my.sharp/products/air-care/ahxp13wmd

Anyone using this model or any of the Plasmacluster models?

I wonder if it is reliable and if the after-sales support of Sharp is up to the mark. The price for this 1.5HP model is about RM1.5k, way cheaper than other such as Panasonic CS-U13VKH which is at RM1.7k.

I own sharp, panasonic inverter aircond. Personally feel that sharp aircond is dirtier than panasonic and need to get technician to service more frequently. Panasonic one is ok. Even technician also said so. He said sharp is easier to trap habuk..

So far i use sharp and panasonic foe almoat three years. No major issue happen

so between the two, is the usage about the same?

if yes, how often do you need to service the sharp?
*
Both for bedrooms at first floor. 8 hours-10 hours night time. Both rooms windows closed all the time.

I need to get people to service sharp twice a year while panasonic can last a year and more..

Area: 300sqft

1. Based on the plan, where is the correct position? Position 1 or 2? How many hp?
2. What is the best value 1hp aircond(inverter)?

[attachmentid=10498632]
*
If 300sqft, i believe you need at least 2.5hp. Similar to my current house layout. I put at living room and able to cover until dining room area. Most of the time we will be sitting at living room rather than dining hall.

Alternatively maybe can consider two airconds

Our stupid developer provided a point but it’s impossible to hang it here. I cannot open the door properly if i mount the compressor here.
[attachmentid=10771359]

Hence a contractor said i should custom made my grille to have a bracket and this would allow me to adjust the compressor to face outward. The problem is, i need to add one more aircond, so there will be two compressor fixed onto the grille. Is it possible?

[attachmentid=10771360]

Edit- this house falls under strata act, so i cannot mount it outside of my house. That’s why i need to figure out what to do with the compressor

Why dont you see how you neighbors install their compressor?

Assuming your 1.5hp pipe is the typical size 9.52/6.35 mm diameter then should be fine as typically 1.0 n 1.5hp also use the same size pipes.

Why I mention typically = (There are some rare instances of 1.5hp aircon using a 1.5hp compressor motor fitted in 2.0hp casing using the larger 12.7mm pipe typically used for 2hp).
*
12.7mm pipe can use for 1hp in this case?

The bigger pipe aka suction line should follow spec as too big can affect the velocity and oil return to compressor.

Are you sure your (actual) pipe dia is 12.7mm for a 1.5hp?
*

Ya. It is 12.7/6.35 pipe for inverter.

hi all sifus,I 've read through  this post and is looking at the Sharp AHX9VED2 ,so I went to a Expo exhibition  last weekend ,almost all the aircon seller were shocked by me asking for Sharp ,they strongly advised me to not go for Sharp
Reasons:
1. Sharp is going to close down
2. All OEM products (aircons)
3. Terrible aftersales service from their/customer experiences(This is the first thing they mentioned whenever I bring up the Sharp brand)

Anyone can share some insight?Is Sharp really that bad?

hi all,
anyone got experience/review using sharp inverter j tech air con?
*
I have 2 inverter sharp Jtech aircond and 2 other japanese brands.

Cooling wise about the same.

Sharp tend to get dirty very fast compared to others. According to technician it is due to the fins design and do not switch on plasmacluster feature. Not sure how true is this. I need to service my sharp ac twice a year compared to other rooms aircond.

My final advise: dont go for Sharp rclxm9.gif

Hi sifus... I am planning to diy cleaning my ac using the aircond cleaner sprayer such as waxco wd40. It stated no rinse required.

My aircond is using external acson drain pump. Since those cleaner said no rinse required and will dissolve the dirt, i would like to know will it clog the drain pump or not?

Thanks
