There is no partition between living hall, dining area and dry kitchen. Only one aircon piping install at living hall. Thus, my choice is only 1 aircon for the whole area. Just the matter of whether getting 2hp inverter or a 2.5hp non inverter now. Ceiling height is around 9ft. What would u choose if you are me.

I wonder if it is reliable and if the after-sales support of Sharp is up to the mark. The price for this 1.5HP model is about RM1.5k, way cheaper than other such as Panasonic CS-U13VKH which is at RM1.7k.

meaning sharp is more effective to  trap dust that will clog aircond fin

so between the two, is the usage about the same?

if yes, how often do you need to service the sharp?

Any good 1hp non-inverter air-cond to recommend?
Prefer quite good in cooling and less problem if can...
Using hisense 1hp now,alwaz need to service(about 3 months once) after 2 years of usage...

Hi. my existing aircond pipe is 0.61mm thickness provided by developer. I want to install R32 aircond.

Anyone knows do i need to change pipe?

Our stupid developer provided a point but it’s impossible to hang it here. I cannot open the door properly if i mount the compressor here.

Hence a contractor said i should custom made my grille to have a bracket and this would allow me to adjust the compressor to face outward. The problem is, i need to add one more aircond, so there will be two compressor fixed onto the grille. Is it possible?

Edit- this house falls under strata act, so i cannot mount it outside of my house. That’s why i need to figure out what to do with the compressor

Assuming your 1.5hp pipe is the typical size 9.52/6.35 mm diameter then should be fine as typically 1.0 n 1.5hp also use the same size pipes.

Why I mention typically = (There are some rare instances of 1.5hp aircon using a 1.5hp compressor motor fitted in 2.0hp casing using the larger 12.7mm pipe typically used for 2hp).

The bigger pipe aka suction line should follow spec as too big can affect the velocity and oil return to compressor.

Are you sure your (actual) pipe dia is 12.7mm for a 1.5hp?

hi all sifus,I 've read through  this post and is looking at the Sharp AHX9VED2 ,so I went to a Expo exhibition  last weekend ,almost all the aircon seller were shocked by me asking for Sharp ,they strongly advised me to not go for Sharp
Reasons:
1. Sharp is going to close down
2. All OEM products (aircons)
3. Terrible aftersales service from their/customer experiences(This is the first thing they mentioned whenever I bring up the Sharp brand)

Anyone can share some insight?Is Sharp really that bad?
