No. I just called and said can you give me offer? Or else i will switch

Two days later, they called again (from termination department) and offered me two packages

Rm99 300mbps free 6 months (2 years contract)
Rm99+1 300mbps and get 50 inch samsung tv (3 years contract)

Decided for the first one. Two years is quite long and I’m sure better pricing will come. Plus if they offered me larger TV then okay lah haha
*
Nice, thanks for the information! I will do the same too when my contract is up next March. biggrin.gif

I will take the 2 years contract too.

thanks for info.. but I’m unlucky. I asked nicely, nothing. So I raise transfer ID with unifi. Argued with Maxis cause they just cancel my request to port out. Argued and make noise with Maxis with threthening SKMM, finally called me and offer option 1. Phew… so much work but worth it.

Coming Monday, maxis maxpert will come and give me new router.

When maxis gonna rebate the free 6 months? Somehow I don’t believe Maxis biggrin.gif

How's Maxis Fibre by the way? Our internet still isn't fixed and we're debating switching. Dealing with Unifi Support is a bit of PITA.

Yes I do know it'll use the same infrastructure (only HSBB here). We're looking at the 1 Gbps plan.

Part of me is looking forward to not experience the customary congestion on Unifi at certain hours of the day.

If you have infra issues at your area, e.g. frequent fiber cut and etc

I will suggest you to stick with Unifi unless Maxis deploy their own infra at your area

If Maxis is riding on TM's infra, it takes a lot of back and forth to get infra issue resolved and usually TM will take their own sweet time to fix it when it's not their own customer

All routing go through Maxis own server, only the last mile infra is shared. As long as your area doesn't have frequent fibre cut, go for it. Maxis fibre should be fine

Yeah, so ultimately see which deal more attractive to you & decide that way since not much difference between Unifi & Maxis.

Yes, recently my friend also got a new router when she extended her contract upon receiving free 6 months and RM 99 for 300Mbps. Just came last week to change. At first, she didn't want to but they said it is free and she has been using Maxis router since installed. So might as well. laugh.gif Good service by Maxpert team, changed the SSID and password as her previous router, so no need to key in everything for her devices.

Thanks for heads up.

We're sticking to Unifi for the time being. There was a fibre cut from the FDP (green tong sampah in the back alley) to the house. The techs blame an animal (possibly a rat) for causing it.

Tried to call up Maxis at 1123, want to try my luck to get offer for my Fibre upon contract ended.
Keep trying different option/selection, yet all still routed and answer by bot-operator.
Any advise which option to choose, so that I can reach a live-human-agent?

Choose report technical / fiber fault. Then human agent will assist you.

No luck, tried all options, 99.99% of it (is there a 0.01% chance for me? yawn.gif )are bot response mentioning sending me whatsapp link and ask me to click the link for further step.
I tried for live chat at the Whatsapp, its human agent, but giving official replies. Requested them to arrange a sales person to contact me, yet getting official answer saying please refer to maxis site for latest promo.

Will sign up for Unifi and request for port out, hope there will be a real Maxis sales person contacting me for a good counter offer, else, bye Maxis, come back 2 years later.

Hi mates,

I am getting a call from this random number 03-23013425 claiming that she is from Maxis and offer me to replace a new maxis fibre router free of charge.

The thing is my router is the same new router from official website : KAON AR2140 Maxis Certified WiFi 6 Router

Is there a new router model that I am not aware of or its a scam call? sweat.gif
