Is there any truth to it (like did their networks around Kulim actually go down) or it's just syiok sendiri?

Wonder if it's worth switching to Maxis? Their 1 Gbps seems tempting and we're existing Maxis postpaid customers. Singh93 liked this post

Regarding the ONT, will we get a new ONT? So I assume the TM guys have to come too in that case. Ours is the old Fiberhome model from 2017 or thereabouts. Our current plan is Unifi 800 Mbps.
What router is Maxis giving out for 1 Gbps? Though looking at the screenie above is a bit discouraging as I can already hit 840 Mbps on my current Unifi connection. This post has been edited by Epic_winner091: Jun 17 2024, 12:42 PM |

Don't they have a 6E router or that's only for 2 Gbps?

Decisions...decisions.
Not much of an upgrade speedwise (neighbourhood only has HSBB) but the price would the main deciding factor. |

How's Maxis Fibre by the way? Our internet still isn't fixed and we're debating switching. Dealing with Unifi Support is a bit of PITA.
Yes I do know it'll use the same infrastructure (only HSBB here). We're looking at the 1 Gbps plan. Part of me is looking forward to not experience the customary congestion on Unifi at certain hours of the day. This post has been edited by Epic_winner091: Nov 2 2025, 12:30 AM |

QUOTE(blacktubi @ Nov 2 2025, 02:53 AM) If you have infra issues at your area, e.g. frequent fiber cut and etc I will suggest you to stick with Unifi unless Maxis deploy their own infra at your area If Maxis is riding on TM's infra, it takes a lot of back and forth to get infra issue resolved and usually TM will take their own sweet time to fix it when it's not their own customer QUOTE(YoungMan @ Nov 2 2025, 10:49 AM) All routing go through Maxis own server, only the last mile infra is shared. As long as your area doesn't have frequent fibre cut, go for it. Maxis fibre should be fine Thanks for heads up.We're sticking to Unifi for the time being. There was a fibre cut from the FDP (green tong sampah in the back alley) to the house. The techs blame an animal (possibly a rat) for causing it. |
