Hi. Anyone using Fibre + Hotlink Postpaid @ rm99 per month?

I'm already on Hotlink Postpaid, do i need to change telco/plan first in order to subscribe for the bundle?

Hi, I can't reach full speed of the promised 100mbps package, speedtest always capped at 93-95mbps max. even with LAN

i know it's not a major annoyance, but is there any ways to get the full 100mbps experience?

Moving to other place that is not within TM infra..especially Maxis NGBB..i remember someone post in YT...he get 750mbps for download speed with 300mbps plan in NGBB infra..the infra already everywhere in taman area include East Coast...just that it not worth it just for internet usage...if house over there is far from your workplace.. other tips, transfer back to Unifi...also, i see people use Astro Fibre in TM infra don't have speed cap issue much..i do believe it just Maxis being cheapskate to pay full bandwidth fee to TM...or Astro get special treatment for buying routing bandwidth from TM...after all, Astro Fibre is the only fibre ISP that depend routing 100% from TM..someone use Celcom Fibre in TM infra don't have speed cap issue..to this day it is still unknown why Maxis Fibre in TM infra get speed cap...if you subs 30mbps..when speedtest get 27~28mbps download speed...that 7% less speed...did math..imagine 2Gbps in TM infra..speed cap 7%..1,860mbps for download speed..who knows.. laugh.gif

come to think about it, my workplace and dad's place are both on 100mbps unifi, no problem getting more than 100mbps.
oh well, gotta live with it. bangwall.gif
I live alone and it's (almost) more than enough

No such issue for me, this is on wifi 6 behind a brick wall
Maybe change your router?
Still, I tried the stock Kaon
Even that can push the full subscribed speed no problem
*
nah I'm on the stock wifi6 router provided by Maxis.
am sure it's the config/infra level probs not the router itself.

I'm using Stremio and there's a noticeable buffer.

Is there any speed cap imposed?

What's the latest retention package for 300Mbps? My friend's contract is ending on 15th Oct, and she is currently subscribing to RM 129 for 300Mbps.

She will try to switch to UniFi and hopes that Maxis will offer something competitive.

my contract will end on 23rd October, waiting for something good too.

My friend got counter-offered by Maxis. RM 99 for 300Mbps, free 6 months, 2 years contract. After contract ends, price goes back to RM 129 but 2 years later we can try again other packages. biggrin.gif

need to submit transfer request? or can call maxis cs and saying we wanna terminate/switch?

Finally got my upgrade, rm99 300mbps for two years + free 6 months

Only downside is the upload speed is not consistent, most of the time it hovers at 30-40mbps

Congrats! So did you also give them the transfer ID?

Oh mine is consistent, always 50Mbps or slightly more.
*
No. I just called and said can you give me offer? Or else i will switch

Two days later, they called again (from termination department) and offered me two packages

Rm99 300mbps free 6 months (2 years contract)
Rm99+1 300mbps and get 50 inch samsung tv (3 years contract)

Decided for the first one. Two years is quite long and I’m sure better pricing will come. Plus if they offered me larger TV then okay lah haha

thanks for info.. but I’m unlucky. I asked nicely, nothing. So I raise transfer ID with unifi. Argued with Maxis cause they just cancel my request to port out. Argued and make noise with Maxis with threthening SKMM, finally called me and offer option 1. Phew… so much work but worth it.

Coming Monday, maxis maxpert will come and give me new router.
When maxis gonna rebate the free 6 months? Somehow I don’t believe Maxis biggrin.gif

oh, new router? that is nice.
