If you didn't receive your bill via email, you can still download your previous and latest bill through the MyMaxisApp in pdf format.

Anyone knows what's the super duper password for Maxis' Huawei Optixstar LG8245X6-10 ?

The above does not seem to work on 2 units.

All the sifus here, just installed Maxis Fibre and got the AR2140 router, but I cannot find the DMZ function to put one of my servers there, even using the root admin trick someone mentioned before also doesn't reveal that function, is it totally not available on this router? What would be my best option if I need the DMZ function? If the answer involves getting a new router, then would I still be able to use the 3 units of AR2140 (signed up for the 800mbps service) as mesh units for extra signal coverage? Which router would be best to get? Thank you all in advance thumbsup.gif

DMZ is actually not secure for your network, you should use port forwarding. biggrin.gif

After using Maxis Fibre 300 Mbps for 1 month:

So far so good.
No downtimes and stable always day and night.
No more random slowdowns and shot up ping like what happened with Unifi networks whether on Air/Fibre.

But...
The signal range for Kaon AR2140 is quite similar like my old TP Link AX50, but somehow there are some quirkiness in the router.
It seems all of my and family Android phones on WiFi 5 and my Xbox console have issues getting higher speeds based on WiFi 5 5 GHz tech.
WiFi 6 I have no issues at all.
It seems stuck on maximum 544 Mbps or on reality maybe that is the limit for WiFi 5 on this router?
So I have been getting problems getting full speed download on my Xbox and my Android phones with WiFi 5.
The max speed I can get is around 150-170 Mbps.
So in order to solve it, I have to move my Kaon AR2140 mesh to the room with my Xbox to use Ethernet to get full speed download and I did try to shut off Band Steering and it still does not work.

And also there is issue with mesh roaming on my home, Apple devices in my house roam perfectly between main and mesh with band steering on.
So no drop to 2.4 GHz.

But with Android devices with WiFi 6 and WiFi 5, the roaming is really weird.
If I go away from mesh, it will drop to 2.4 GHz immediately once 5 GHz signal is weak on my S22U.
And it will take a really long time to switch to main router.
And I have tried with shutting off band steering and it takes a really long time to switch even until low signal on Android.

It seems this router is more friendly towards Apple devices than my Android devices.
And this does not include how my LG TV is connecting far away to the main where my mesh is really close to the LG TV.

But overall I am satisfied with the service Maxis provides.
Since the router is not giving me much headaches maybe I will continue using it until the end.
The only reason I am not bothered to buy another new router to replace my Kaon is to save money for WiFi 7.
Been thinking to get that powerful Asus ZenWiFi Pro models with WiFi 7.
Maybe that time I will only upgrade because of the big jump WiFi 7 provides.
At least that can future proof my home for a really long time.

So that is my rant so far with Maxis Home Fibre 300 Mbps + Maxis Kaon AR2140.

Anyone tried to resubscribe Maxis fiber?
My current Maxis Fibre contract is ending soon and Maxis offered me a new WiFi 6 router/modem but in return have to tie to contract for another 2 years.
Recently saw there are some promotion for maxis fibre new subscription. So I thought of end the existing contract and get a new subscription.
My agent told me he able to do it but have to change port.
Just wonder is there any cons from doing this?

If your area uses TM infra, you better not do this. TM has a cooling period when you terminate the line, and chances are that someone will take over the port.
Not to mention the hassle for Maxis to get TM technician to come during reinstallation.
