Anyone here has signed up for ASNB's Pengisytiharan Amanah?
http://www.asnb.com.my/pdf/perkhidmatan/we...alBookletPA.pdf
Currently ASNB has reduced the signup fee to rm100 from rm180 (promo until 30-april).

If one has a total ASNB's investment of rm500k, claiming fee adds up to rm3875, which is not cheap. Without this would claiming be difficult and more costly?

OT:
Any idea where can i read some discussion in Lyn with regards to inheritance , execution of will , inheritance tax etc,eg:

Dad has a will, he willed a house to me, i just go on collecting the rental...i dont intend to claim the property any time soon.

1)Is there a time period that if i do not claim ( get it transferred to my name), the will will somehow become not enforceable after a long lapse of time?

2) Is it wrong legally speaking, to keep on collecting the rental without getting the house transferred to my name?

Would appreciate if you guys can show me where to read all about it.

i was told they need the photocopy of the next of kin/ beneficiary of the will
It seems very inconvinience to me, because you may not want to alert them they are the beneficiary.

there is benefit if beneficiary knows. if they dont know about it, your assets may be lying idle not claimed till they find out. may be much later.

CONGRATULATION on your mega catch!

Lady luck has taken a vacation for me lately. Got some money from my FD, went to ASNB, lady staff told me "no electricity". I walked around to a coffee shop nearby. They said no power, how come the shops around it got power? After my ice tai-chi to cool me down, went back to ASNB. Surprise, surprise, ada power in the office, the TV for the queue number was still on!

Maybe no power to the computer server.

So, no ikan for me today. (incidentally, my wife is cooking fish ball today!)

Just to confirm my understanding, to open a child's account, fill in the form, photocopy of the kid's bc and RM100, right?

The kid does not need to be there, right?

May try next week.

Another round of ASx panic withdrawal coming soon hmm.gif

Malaysian minister admits 1MDB debt burdensome; Putrajaya to stop all new loans.

QUOTE
Minister in the Prime Minister's department Abdul Wahid Omar has admitted that state fund, 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB), is a burden because of its failure to generate cash flow against its huge debts, it was reported on Friday.
"All this while, they have expanded by taking loans from banks and the capital market. They purchased assets, including IPPs (independent power producers), causing their debt to rise,'' the Malaysian Insider quoted the minister as saying on Thursday night

Now with recent massive panic selling on AS1M, i just wonder whether AS1M would continue to be a good choice for risk averse investors like me ie can it still give 6+% return, or at least better return than FD in the near future, next dividend payout i mean.

If there is a change in political position and 1MDB scandal officially proven and it collpased, would it hit only AS1M or others like ASW and ASM would be affected to the same extent?

Hope those who are more in the know could shed some light for me to decide whether i should redeem my next Fd or not.
