Very well done! Nice graphic & layout. Good to have 1 thread now for all ASX.

Let us see who will be the first one to ask the don't-do-homework question (i.e., do not read the basic infor at the start of this thread).

Keep it up!!!

Let us move to LTAT for the 2-3 times higher return! 15% for 2014! Dapat kah? Guess not. cry.gif

AA
LTAT investment gurus are some of the best in the world with such consistent high returns over the last 42 years! True kah? These guys will be filthy rich if they worked in the private companies! Just curious, any one here knows what do they invest in? Shares, special deals with the you-know-who, etc? brows.gif

BB
My gut feel says some hidden fat hands in there to achieve the high returns. I guess that is one way to please the armed forces and to secure their unquestioned services. Same thing in armed forces in other countries?

CC
Suppose I started with RM100,000 in LTAT 42 years ago, by now it will be about RM9 million now! 90 times increase! thumbup.gif

Sorry for this off topic thread.

Cheerio.

Taken from ASNB's latest posting on their FB page ( https://www.facebook.com/413717745430066/ph...pe=1&permPage=1 ). I've heard rumors that SC may not allow for ASNB funds to grow anymore via dividend (I guess they finally realized the loophole) so future income distribution (to use the correct term tongue.gif) will be paid via cash.

Don't know how true the rumor but for as long as ASNB's fixed priced funds continue to represent a large chunk of the entire local stock market, it poses a systemic risk to the local bourse which is why I guess the rumors continue to spread.
*
I hope this is another one of the recent rumours (upon death of EPF unitholder, death of one of EPF's beneficiaries will result in the EPF money being transferred to a govt body XYZ and difficult to get the money out. This rumour is not true as EPF has explained in the news recently).

KLSE companies are worth a few trillion RM. ASNB has a few billions RM. But ASNB is not investing 100% of its money in KLCI. So looking from that angle, KLCI is not running out of room with this player, big yes but not over-stretching KLCI in my view.

Cheerio.

Well. Any fund which particular for any members only often higher in return but its not come into comparison because it is out of reach for some of the people.
*
Out of curiosity and if you know, LTAT is only for armed forces staff or also for their family members? Any maximum limit for each member?

No, I do not have any relative in the armed forces. Pity.

Thanks for your tip.

Went to PM, took more than 1 hr to process the 15 customers ahead of me. This PM is now getting rather slow. The staff I respected before is now rather slow, taking numerous breaks, does not call the next number after the last one has gone till 1-2 mins later. Bet you are saying I am so fussy, demanding, etc. Ha.

At the end, zero for me. Pity me.

I am thinking about going also.. Very seldom have the opportunity to join this kind of roadshow..

Most of the time the roadshow is in Semenanjung / Penisular..

But as you said, is it worth for us as non-bumi to go?

Haha... If i am given an opportunity to open an account for ASW2020, even with a minimum of RM100 I also would go..  smile.gif

Me too. See you there? Get a TT group there? Ha.

Hope some one who has been there can help with what is covered there. Infor on ASX, application counter, future news on ASX, lucky draw???

Attended the JB's MSAM in 2009, where I managed to open and buy >30k units for one of the ASx. Seems like they released some units for sale during this period. Sorry can't remember the details but maybe can call ASNB for more info.

Thanks for the infor.

Now 2 carrots at the end of the stick (new account and some fish) may draw me there! Ha.

Just realised that I am one of the lucky ones here. Why? ASNB Bintulu was the branch with the highest no of transactions in M'sia in 2014! They got a certificate on display in the office.

They have more 250 transactions every day.

But when it comes to mine, can do better lah! Ha.

Thanks for your tip earlier.

Went to PM and waited for about 1 hour for my turn. Could not buy any as I forgot to bring my wallet (with my IC inside). What a day!

This week has not been my week with lots of unpleasant things. Hope this will be the past from today on wards! Ha.

Wah, the penalty is tougher than some of the X100 more serious offences!

Seriously, I don't think I am the only one who forgets to bring the MK once in a blue moon.

Come to think of it, a swimmer in a pool will not have the MK with him/her when stopped by a policeman. Yes, the swimmer can go to the locker to get it BUT at that instant, the swimmer does not have the MK. So also liable for the fine?

Other countries also have the same regulation, I wonder?

Cheerio.

Swimmer scenario too extreme la, police only stop and ask for IC in public area. private area wont kacau.

I see. But what if it is in a public pool?

Curious to know how it is worded in the regulation. I think it was enacted during the communist emergency time, trying to control who was who during that time.

Still applicable now with that specific regulation? God knows.

Cheerio.

P/S Better stop here - off topic.

Came across this song this morning.

Seeing My Father In Me
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oVeml28Eo3w

For the ladies, just change My Father to My Mother. Applicable to both father and mother.

Sorry off topic but I do hope after listening to it, you will say to yourself, hey, that is a good, emotional song!

In our quest for extra money in ASX, take some time to listen, reflect and enjoy the song!

Wah, you are a walking encyclopedia on ASX!

So they can afford to pay additional 2% this time (if they wish to).

Went to see my doctor on my medical checkup results. Unfortunately, he was not in this morning. Went to CIMB near the clinic and wah-lah, got 1k & 7 K AS1M.

I think some more fish there. Try it!
