We are here to fellowship with one another, strengthen our Faith in the Lord. It is hard to grow in the Lord, alone in solitude. God intends for us to be in relationship with each other and our fellowship thread provide a place for you to grow in your relationship with Him and with other people of the same faith.

I know our country hv some controversy lately but the call to ban valentine's day, I really support.
The main objective of valentine day is actually not romantic it's a sad day or memorial day for st valentine couple gather together to celebrate his death in glory for without him many of the men that time would die without any spouse.
If you dislike valentine day that much just stay at home watch video or TV although most TV would be airing romantic movies still there are many other channels worth to watch too
I am single too I am not bothered of them couples having romantic night together in fact I can do alot of things in my home Afterall cny is approaching major cleaning is required around the house

What do you guys think of this video below? I sincerely think that God may be residing in the 10th, or even higher dimensions, which are out of our reach:
If we are to assume that God indeed is residing in the higher dimensions, somehow I think it'll make sense when God has access to several different realities in our lives, and it made me imagined if Adam and Eve could have made a different choice in the Garden of Eve.
In addition, this seem to answer one of the questions people always have, "Why does God set Adam up to fail?" If we are to assume that God resides in the higher dimensions, then God did not set Adam up to fail, it's just means that our universe, this universe that you and I are in, is the universe where Adam and Eve made the wrong choice, and chose to disobey God.
Just my opinion.

In Genesis 1:6 & 1:14 And God said, “Let there be a vault between the waters to separate water from water | And God said, “Let there be lights in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years Here is where Earth is created and talks about separation between Sky (Heaven) and Land speaks of Earth Atmosphere, our immediate Sky. First Heaven
In Genesis 1:1 & 2:1 God created the Heavens and the Earth. | Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array. Plural, speaks of Deep Space and Galaxies. The second Heavens
In 2 Corinthians:12:1-4 I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven. Third Heaven is basically believed by many Scholars to be the dwelling place of God, the His Throne, his Angels and his saints.
Perhaps out of reach for some, but never for his children.
In our finite mind it's hard to understand this But God is not really not millions of light years away.

it means that wherever God is, is where his Kingdom is. Something like Doraemon pocket of multiple dimension. This means that as Believers, we have the Kingdom of God in us, why? Because Jesus resides in our heart.

*2 Chronicles 6:18 - "But will God really dwell on earth with humans? The heavens, even the highest heavens, cannot contain you. How much less this temple I have built!
Then read this
Jeremiah 23:24 Who can hide in secret places so that I cannot see them?" declares the LORD. "Do not I fill heaven and earth?" declares the LORD.
The keyword is: He fills the Heaven and the Earth, in other words: He is EVERYWHERE. Omnipresence.
In Closing Summary, He is within reach.

Yeah, I know. It's only an opinion. While He is within our reach, I'm saying it is only possible because He allows it to be. On the other hand, since we are 3rd-dimensional beings, it will be impossible to reach God physically, and I think that's because we will need to transcend the higher dimensions, which we have no access to.
While this opinion may not be biblical in nature, but somehow I think it provides a lot of answers to many questions whenever it involves the existence of God, and also the question of free will, and as well as the question of predestination.

Dr Yonggi Cho stated that the Holy Spirit is in the fourth dimension, very possible so is our spirit being. Not to say, that this is a confirm fact (honestly I don't really know) but just for discussion sake.

Hmm, I wouldn't be too sure about, because the 4th dimension is actually time. Imagine looking at your right and left, and you are able to see yourself 5 minutes in the past, and 5 minutes from now. You could be reading a newspaper in the past, or brushing your teeth in the future, but you'll always see yourself always reading a newspaper in the past and brushing your teeth in the future...constantly, just by simply looking at your left and your right. As 3rd dimensional beings of course, we are always a slave to the present, as we have no physical means to be able to reach to the past nor the future...with the exception of waiting for the future to arrive every time.
Imagine asking a friend out. A 3rd dimensional being will ask 2 things: 1) The place, and 2) The time, or vice versa. A 5th dimensional being however (with access to the 4th dimension), have no need to ask for both information, as they have physical access to time itself. This means they only need to ask where, and 5th dimensional beings will be able to meet each other, unlike us, the 3rd dimensional beings.
This is why I think God is above the 10th dimensions (or even higher) where He is completely unrestricted in time and space, and realities, unlike us human beings.

AH! I understand what you mean. But you see, little do the physicists know (or at least I think they're keeping quiet about it), is that the string theory today, i.e. The Theory of Everything, could very well prove the existence of God, and answers many questions within the scientific community. Problem is, it remains still a theory today, and only in writing, because mankind has no really found a way to create a machine or to control these dimensions. Until then, there will be people in the scientific community who are not going to believe, which I believe by the time they're on to something, the existence of God will pretty much be established.
To all quantum and theoretical physicists who are reading this, this is merely my opinion. Chill.
The string theory, the Dark matter, and the Dark flow are currently, in my opinion, are the only game in town (within the scientific community) whenever it comes to the science to the question of existence, and perhaps, to the question of the existence of God.

The string theory was written based on how we can imagine ourselves looking at a piece of paper with two points in space, and how we can simply fold the paper itself to create what physicists call the "wormhole", to literally "bend" time and space. That takes imagination, and is obviously not observable. But since they can write out the equations on a piece of paper, it is somehow integrated to science, that is, a scientific theory for the time being.

I was always stucked in the questions on how God can exists without affecting free will, and without affecting the world how He wanted it to be. With string theory, I may have very well found certain (which is close to scientific) answers to those questions.

If we are to assume that God indeed is residing in the higher dimensions, somehow I think it'll make sense when God has access to several different realities in our lives, and it made me imagined if Adam and Eve could have made a different choice in the Garden of Eve.
In addition, this seem to answer one of the questions people always have, "Why does God set Adam up to fail?" If we are to assume that God resides in the higher dimensions, then God did not set Adam up to fail, it's just means that our universe, this universe that you and I are in, is the universe where Adam and Eve made the wrong choice, and chose to disobey God.

I wouldn't go as far as to say marriage is the Beginning of our problems. The truth is we all have our existing problems, when we marry, we bring both our problems to the marriage and together with adjusting with living full time with each other, the problems create new bigger ones.
The first couple of years will be the most difficult, but everyone can get through them if you understand and remember you marriage vows. And If you remember that love is not merely a feeling but an act of will, especially when you feel you want to kill you better half.

The gap between my 1st and 2nd rship is 9 years. So whatever lessons I learn in my 1st, I completely forgotten.
I find that I like rship with christians even though it means a lot more challenging. Christian girls are very careful, they will evaluate you first before they want to jump into serious relationship with you. Being with a christian girl, would mean that you both got common values even though at times I tend to be a bit worldly. I was a buddhist before I converted. I didn't have the privalege of being brought up in a christian family.

Amazingly God somewhat transformed my dad, though not as bad as last time but still I count it much better.
This made me convince all the more why christianity is the truth over any other religion even Islam. There were many attempts by the malays in this forum who tried to convince me but I don't think they will be able to, they don't know the hell i went through for my Faith. And God is with me through thick and thin. He is Very Graceful.

Saturday is usually dating day for me...now i sit at home not even dare to go to shopping mall.
When my granny was alive, my family, uncles aunties and cousins used to come to granny place to celebrate CNY. Now, my granny passed away, so all the uncles and aunties dunno why dun feel like gathering anymore. So this year could be a quiet CNY.
Listen here when your grandma was still on this earth, all the relativescale comes to visit her during cny because she is the most senior person in the family, and now that your grandma is no longer around you as the younger generation should visity your uncles and aunts.
You are nobody so stop complaining and make an effort to visit them during cny for it's a custom and your duty to do so

Sin actually means "missing the mark" (or not reaching a standards). So there is no such thing as 'big' or 'small' sins because they all fall short of God's standards.

That is why I urge you to understand about the story of the Father who will go to Jail for you, for all the sins you've committed. Because the more you understand it, his grace will bring you out of it. It will be the end of the power of sin over your life.

I just pray for God to grant me wisdom in my daily life. Read Proverbs, it's filled with wise words by King Solomon.

Option No.1
I would return home and work in Germany for 2 years, "babysit" him and make him go to church. haha..

Since he dislikes to stay with relatives in Germany, he can come to Malaysia to study and stay with me, that mean I have to move out from my cousin's place. We will stay at my own condo. And he need to go to church. haha...
Option No. 3
He have to live independently and learn to how to survive, ie, cook, cleaning, etc. My sister or my relatives will check on him during the weekend.
It might work but the fool is a rascal. Yeah, he's quite immature.
Basically, I would suggest these 3 options to my parents:-

However, nowadyas I face world of realism. Is it true to marry someone, you don't have to feel chemistry for her? Just marry like that ah? Then slowly hope the chemistry to build up? I find always a mismatch. The girl I like, she don't like me.

Coming from a Buddhist/Taoist family, I can guess why your grandma was angry. Assuming she believed in the continuity of the soul (wherever the deceased is, usually one would believe in heaven, or in a worst case scenario still on Earth as a soul that maybe visits/stays in the home - no one would in their right mind believe that a loved one is in hell), the food offered on the altar can carry a few meanings (the importance of each one over the other can vary based on an individual's own beliefs and perception), forming a combination of:
A form of respect, a form of remembrance, a treat that you would like to share with your loved one (the deceased) - e.g. a wife continuing on with her duties and preparing food for her beloved husband and hopes that he'll be happy wherever he is while enjoying this meal, and a source of food in case the deceased is in need or misses earthly food.
Not sure if others throw it out, but for my family we're quite practical, the food should be consumed while it's still fresh. Just pray/show a sign of respect, probably internalize the happy and positive thoughts of 'Hope you've enjoyed the food and that you're happy, we miss you a lot Do allow us to share the food with the (your) whole family now'. For me, whether the soul is truly existent or not post-death, it can also be seen as a traditional practice of remembering/paying respect to/seeking strength or wisdom from the family's ancestors which is central to Chinese culture.
Now back to why she was angry, there's two possible explanations (i) she is of the belief the food is solely for the ancestors/deceased, or (ii) shown disrespect - the food was for someone and you just 'snatched' it without even asking for permission. Ideally, but as always on hindsight, she should have felt that it's alright, it's just one piece, and I'm sure grandpa (or whoever) would have wanted you to have it anyway, and laugh it off.

The problem with this is that Churches still don't understand that they mix up Works + Grace as evidence that you're saved. Why Because in the scripture the Bible says that those who are born again will not continue to sin. So they take that part as the condition without properly understanding the entire gist of the Bible of HOW transform life comes about which is by the fruit of the spirit.
The word Fruit has very strong emphasize that it means result or reward, Not effort and that is borne by the Father not us. But still some people, they get confuse over this. They think it's an effort. So what happens is that people gets introspective of themselves instead of looking to the Cross as the source of Salvation which IMO is HERESY. Any preaching or teaching to be introspective of within themselves, saying things like search within your heart for whatever reasons is not what the New Testament teaches. It is valid YES under the OT because Salvation back then is performance based. Under the NT, everything MUST go to the Cross, it is Christ's finished work, not our work (not even 1 bit) earn us Salvation.
One thing we need to established is that SIN is SIN. The reason Christ came to save us is because of SIN. The purpose of God's grace is to lead us out of sin, not to remain in it. What happens is that in one extreme end like recently when de1929 quotes all things are permissible meaning to say I can do anything on purpose even if it's sin because God or "HS" will exempt me from it for the furtherment of his kingdom, that is also not what the Bible teaches.
So in summary, We need to agree (wholeheartedly) that Sin is wrong, we're not to purposely jump into it but to continue to seek and have fellowship with God, to understand we don't have to save ourselves, God has done that part, God's grace has basically saved us. Our part is to keep believing in it. When this part is done correctly (believing that we are saved by the cross) the Holy Spirit goes into work, working in our lives so that our life bear fruits. Why people's life is not bearing fruit? Answer is because they're trying to get it through self effort of Obedience to God rather than resting in God by Faith.
The Bible says that when we believe, we are MADE righteous. <-----I can highlight this 9999 times and there will still be Christians who don't get it. Ask any common christians how do you become righteous? And you'll most likely get this answer: BY doing right. Which is wrong under the New Covenant. Some may profess the right answer but at the back of his head, He will still subconsciously agree that by doing right deed or in other words obedience, you become righteous. It is not.
The righteous shall live by Faith.

I don't know, and I wouldn't claim to know, as I've never really bothered to find out via scholarly sources for any explanations.
But from my own viewpoint, it would be offering something that you can attach an emotional bond to, that would bring out your innermost kindness and love.
A common tool would then be food... We all enjoy food, housewives lovingly impart their time and energy to cook nutritious food for the family.
So in a way you prepare something you can assign feelings of sharing, love, kindness, care, and devotion, and then willingly offer it to your loved one (the deceased). See, the tool here is just a tool, could be food, flowers, money, whatever, but it is just a tool that helps bring out those emotions and feelings mentioned earlier.
Now is that sort of emotional offering needed? We can either say yes or no, there's never going to be a right answer. Assuming spirits are real, then yes maybe it's a family obligation. If they're not real, then, can take it as a culture and traditional practice of respecting the elder (pretty sure studies on religiouslike practices and their positive effects on mental wellbeing can be found) . But of course you can also adopt the view that these are all illogical nonsense, for which you could be right or dead wrong too, no one knows. :-)

After showing these signs to Moses, signs that were to be proofs to the children of Israel that the Lord had truly appeared to him, the Lord said, “If they will not believe also these two signs, neither hearken unto thy voice,...thou shalt take of the water of the river, and pour it upon the dry land: and the water which thou takest out of the river shall become blood upon the dry land” (4:9). This was to be a further sign.
These signs are very meaningful. The bush denotes our natural man. The fact that the bush was burning without being consumed indicates that when God calls us, He does not intend to use our natural man.
The rod represents anything other than God that we rely on. The rod becoming a serpent reveals that anything apart from God that we rely upon is a serpent, the Devil. Thus, if you rely upon your husband or wife, your husband or wife is a “serpent.” The same is true of your education or your bank account. When we obey the Lord to cast down the rod, it becomes a serpent. But God does not want us to cast away the rod forever. At His command, we need to take it up again by the “tail.” We need to grasp our education or bank account by the “tail.”
Moses’ hand becoming leprous is an indication that in our flesh there is nothing good; our flesh is the embodiment of leprosy. If we touch[relied on] ourselves, we become leprous.
Finally, the changing of the water of the Nile into blood signifies that the enjoyment of the world is death.

It's just up to one to choose what to believe in that would be in sync and with and suitable for enhancing their life. And for Chinese culture, it's called culture for a reason, either you adhere to culture, or subscribe to an imported culture and disregard current practices. Not limited to Chinese culture, changes and dilution of culture happen across many cultures too. (Note: not attaching any right or wrong judgement here, just observation).

to be honest i used to be Nokia fan been using the phone for years before i finally give up on my old Nokia phone just because the symbian phone do not have the clear ram memory feature when my phone memory full, many thing i can't do on my phone take photos whatsapp or even sms which is really annoying
so now i've been using my very first android phone for more than 2 years, although lag but still working, at least i can take pics or chat on whatsapp, and surf the net when i needed to

I bought my phones from Harvey Norman because they have 5 years warranty. My Note 2 crashed after the 1 year warranty had expired, so I've learned my lesson and decided to buy extended warranty. hehe...

Romans 1:17 - For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed--a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: "The righteous will live by faith."
Why is it that some days when we wake up, we feel that God is like thousands of miles away? Our Eyes, Our Hearing, Our Feelings tells us by the terrible deeds that we may have committed in the days pass, could have pushed God away. If you feel like somewhat like that, I have a solution from the Bible.
But Let me explain first, why. Everyday there is a spiritual war waged by the weaponry of Satan that tries to fixate our mind that we are still under the Righteous Requirement of the Law. What I mean is this. This enemy makes us think we need to appease God through our actions, deeds, works, obedience..you name it, all that falls under the category of Effort of Man. That is how the Bible term it, works.
In the Old testament, the righteousness of Man was sought. BUT IN the gospel, the righteousness of God himself is revealed as explained in Romans 1:17 above.
The Old Covenant DEMANDS. THOU SHALL NOT! By the effort of Man The New Covenant SUPPLIES. GOD SAYS "I WILL" By the Grace of God.
In the Old when Man wanted their own way, God gave the 10 commandments as a test. In the New God came and gave His Son away as our substitute that the Law DEMANDS when Man could prove no further of himself.
God gave us about 2000 years to understand that we cannot. And yet today many of us still live thinking that we can.
When you read the Old Testament, understand that Man is bankrupt and yet tried to prove himself righteous. Man who is in need to be saved and yet trying to be a Hero. This is indeed the vanity of Man. Understand that when Jesus came, He put the end of the righteous requirement of the Law towards Man. The Bible explains it like this in
Romans 10:4 (KJV) - For Christ is the END of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
It is over dear friends. This need to fulfill the righteous requirement of the Law is OVER! Christ put an END to it as explained in Romans 10:4. END means FINISHED, OVER! NO MORE!
Our New life is no more about deeds/works/obedience/ doings/ etc..but BELIEVING! Even when you wake up feeling lousy, you can choose to believe that God is near you and loves you dearly! When you believe this correctly, the Holy Spirit goes into work affirming your Faith and brings in the manifestation to the confirmation of his word.
When you Believe what God says in the understanding of the New Testament, ALL the righteous requirement of the Law is credited to you! (Romans 8:3-4) Our EVERYDAY life hangs on our believe. This is what it means. The Righteous shall live by Faith. NO more about deeds but about Believe.
Dear Friends.
Believe that God loves you, is near you, you're made righteous in Christ. Your FAITH is the new requirement.

Yeah, it is just the lack of seeing that the ordinances in this example spiritually typified Christ and also fallen man. And it was a marvellous picture.
The law with its ordinances was not given to people who were innocent and pure. On the contrary, the law was given to people living in a fallen condition. Because of man’s fall and because of man’s living in the fall, there was the need for God to come in to decree the law with its ordinances.
Those verses indicates that one who kills another by mistake has the right to flee for refuge into a place appointed by God.
This means that, in the eyes of God, fallen man is a sinner by mistake and may flee into Christ. When the Lord Jesus was on the cross, He prayed, "Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing" (Luke 23:34). This prayer opened the way for God the Father to come in and forgive mistaken sinners. All those who are sinners by mistake are qualified to flee into Christ as the city of refuge. How wonderful that God may look upon us as mistaken sinners and provide us with Christ as our city of refuge!

Spiritually, your repentance toward God indicates that you are a sinner by mistake. If you are a willful sinner, why did you repent? To repent means that you confess you are wrong and are sorry for it. Any sinner who repents is a mistaken sinner, one who can be graciously forgiven by God.
According to 21:14, a person who killed another willfully had to perish. This verse says, "But if a man come presumptuously upon his neighbor, to slay him with guile; thou shalt take him from mine altar, that he may die."
This indicates that willful sinners must perish. Those who perish do so because they refuse to repent. The fact that a certain person does not repent indicates that he is not a mistaken sinner, but is a willful sinner. If a person repents, God will regard him as a sinner by mistake and will forgive him. Such a one may flee into Christ. But if anyone refuses the gospel and does not repent, God will regard him as a willful sinner, one destined to perish. Whether you are a mistaken sinner or a willful sinner is determined by whether or not you repent.

Basically, all sin is wrong, but no sin is greater than God's forgiveness, providing one is seeking forgiveness sincerely, and not anticipating or expecting that you will be forgiven for the sake of committing sin.
If that is so, then why after confessing sin to God through Jesus, I still feel guilty?
Our feelings are often manipulated by the devil to make us feel condemned.
