QUOTE(Morning_Star @ Jul 14 2018, 08:45 AM) MBB Ikhwan only offer petrol+groceries 5% for weekends only. (or Fri & Sat) Amanah M Power CC can be used for petrol+groceries any day of the week provided combines spending > 2000. So effective CB rate : 50/2000 = actually 2.5% provided you achieve min spending of 625 on petrol+groceries. So, lets say petrol+groceries = 500, then u top-up to BigPay 1500 (this action won't earn CB, but just to fill up combined spending criteria) I want to ask if spending is tracked by calendar month or date of bill statement ? Why not just use MBB FCB where you can earn 2% cashback on anything and everything? At least you don't need to keep track whether you achieve the RM2000 threshold every month.

PTPTN is not an issue if you have been paying diligently. I also have and now still left with 50k, cards are still approved though admittedly not all because PBB still rejected me last round. Other banks I got with no issue.

Both are different entities, I doubt you can convert just like that. If same entity i.e. Conventional or Islamic, I think should be OK.

If I apply HSBC card to get the RM 500 Lazada voucher, can I do balance transfer to help reach the RM 2000 spending requirement? Because when I read the terms it got mention the following: QUOTE a. includes: internet transactions, local and overseas retail transactions, standing instructions/auto-billing, Cash Advance, Balance Transfer and Cash Instalment Plan;
b. excludes: finance charges/management fees and credit card annual fees for the Participating Credit Card/-i(s).

Replying to myself because I've found it's not worth it to do RM 2000 balance transfer just to get the RM 500 Lazada voucher. 1. The balance transfer is not free. I have to pay 6.99% p.a. if I were to split it into 12 months. That's almost equivalent to RM 140 if I were to transfer RM 2000. 2. I lose the grace period once I do balance transfer. Means I shouldn't use the card for new purchases until I clear the balance transfer. Not using the card means I'll have to pay the RM 240 annual fee. That's 140 + 240 = RM 380 going out of my pocket, just to get the RM 500 Lazada voucher. This post has been edited by apamise: Jul 15 2018, 09:50 PM

It is a very bad experience for me.. I applied for the 0% CIP & chose Visa Signature in early June, provided all documents. The entire month i was not able to reach the person in charge(always answered by auto reply). Instead i called the HQ directly(2weeks+ ago) and was told the status of the CC showing pending since 12 June, which is very unusual to them, so she helped me to drop internal email for attention on my case. Then, my CC was wrongly sent to a different branch in another state, which took another day extra for them to deliver it for self collection last tuesday. BUT, there is no info on my CIP application. I called HQ again and was told there wasn't application for CIP shown in the system(WTF!!!), and helped me drop another internal email for the PIC to look into this. Then, I received call from the PIC saying she has requested for xxx(i had no idea wtf is her problem) to check and will revert to me either today or tomorrow. (I don't trust her at all, she is almost non-responsive to my phone calls and emails). If i did not get the 0% CIP(I was brief all T&C for HSBC VS and 0% CIP) i will lodge complaint at FOMCA. Screw them... LIE to consumers to achieve sales target?!
