I have the world mastercard for sometime now but have not been using it. The reward program seems quite good if can get the 5x/8x reward points. However my concern has been the following
1. have to remember which shopping centers qualify for 5xs reward.
2. the is another long list of which merchants in the shopping center actually give out those 5x points
3. limit of 9000 reward points a month (ie RM1800 for 5xs, and RM1100 for 8xs)
4. 1 billion reward points per year

Does anyone actually use this card and memorize the conditions?
Is there anyway to quickly check if a particular outlet qualifies for condition 1& 2?
Is there a prompt to tell you that you are no longer qualified to get the 5xs/8xs rewards? (hopeful thinking, I guess)
Is there a prompt to tell you that the 1 billion points have already been reached?

My Amanah CC got charged RM240 annual fee even though I swipe very often eevry month. Called up to complain. They said they will reverse by next bill, for this month's bill just - out the RM240. If got penalty charged, they said to call them again.

Last year I took Visa Platinum. Got the voucher.

This year I took Amanah M-Power. I confirmed with them first. Since HSBC & HSBC Amanah separate entity and also different credit limit etc, they said my theory was correct! I also recorded the phone conversation as backup in case I didn't get.

Tbh the HSBC/Amanah CC at that income level all kinda shitty, just cincai choose whichever you qualify. Don't choose the ones with compulsory annual fee ones though
