Zenith RM1 = 2x UNIRM
PRVI Miles RM1 = 10x UNIRM

9,000 UNIRM = 1,000 Enrich Miles

Approx 8,000 Enrich Miles to 1 Economy Flight return BKK, therefore RM 9,000 (PRVI) to RM 36,000 (Zenith) equivalent overseas spend. There is however mention about a Visa Infinite Metal where 4,500 UNIRM = 1,000 miles which means points earned on that card are valued twice above PRVI miles. Any ideas on that card? Honestly, the vast majority 95% of my spend is overseas spend as I'm not based in KL, so the overseas spend points generation is probably the most important part of the card next to the value of the points.

At the 9,000 UNIRM to 1,000 Enrich Miles, I think the value is roughly the same as HSBC (if not slightly less). So it's only points generation that is a question since HSBC PT is now only 1.1x points per USD1 overseas spend...

Zenith has better miles conversion rate, so if you have both Zenith and Prvi Miles Elite. You can spend with PME and redeem with Zenith conversion rate but i was told that Zenith AF cant be waive anymore.

HSBC PT has bonus point cap

Enrich Saver is not available anymore, the ticket redemption rate is sucks, so I've switch to KF now.

Hi! I'm planning to apply for the Visa Signature card to replace the platinum but I'm not sure if they have the same waiver condition for annual fees like swipe x12 .

HSBC website didn't mention but Ringgitplus got. Can anybody share their experience? Thanks

i'm still using it as easy to meet requirement for annual fees & as secondary card when go oversea. Sometimes 1st cc having issues so good to have a 2nd card rather than nothing.

Yes - Previously it was really good when there wasn't any cap especially for overseas transactions.

Exactly, this is the main reason I'm looking for another card that can provide me better value than PT now. I've been flying MH business from BKK<>KUL heavily for the past 4-5 years FOC thanks to PT, but now economy tickets are up by around 60% and business redemptions are up by around 133-250%. Will most likely swap to a card/bank that provides better value, while using up all my remaining points on economy bookings.

Never used travel notice before and haven't had any issue using my card overseas before... How many times has your card been blocked after setting travel notice?

EDIT: Noticed CIMB TWE card also seems to have good points generation rate at RM 10,000 spend = 1,000 Enrich Miles. Any thoughts on this card?

I changed from VS to T1 before annual charge kick in, keep as optional card when travel, can use for enter PPL too, other than that, can't really get anything benefit myself for using the card, next just wait for either cancellation or any waiver they offer.

RM600 (annual fee is waived if used once a month, for 12 consecutive months with minimum annual spend of RM2,000)
Hsbc told me can request subject to approval. Knowing hsbc, should not be too difficult to get it?

Hi, hsbc do not waive or rebate me the sst charges. They insisted me to pay the rm25 (outstanding, not billed yet) even I requested for cancellation. I do not use this card for few months. I have tried live chat and call in, both also saying the same thing. How to solve this? Complaint to bnm?

You try to tell them, no transactions made after SST charged, can cancel without paying the SST. Ask them check with their team. Ask his/her name then make aduan to bnm. Soon will have someone from bank to contact u for sure

Complain to BNM via telelink. Been there, done that. Got mine waived.

Note down all the date & time that you chat with CS and submit as information to BNM.

We refer to your feedback to Bank Negara Malaysia, who has requested us to reply to you directly on this matter.

We’re sorry to note that your request for credit card cancellation wasn’t executed on timely to your expectation. In addition, we regret to note our Contact Centre team didn’t effectively address your reversal request for Sales and Services Tax (SST). Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused. Rest assured, we’ll internally address the shortcomings with the Team concerned. We appreciate your feedback that is important for us to assess and where necessary, improve our processes and services.

Please allow us to explain that SST is a mandatory charge, which is administered by the Royal Malaysian Customs Department effective 1 September 2018. It will be applied to the credit card on an annual basis, based on the month of credit card approved. We note that the SST was charged to your HSBC XXX card on XX XXXXX 202X and you have called in for card cancellation on XX XXXXXX 202X. In view of the credit card is still in an outstanding balance, the agent is unable to act on your card cancellation request.

Nonetheless, we’ve further reviewed your account. As a gesture of goodwill, we’re pleased to inform that we’ll credit a cashback of RM25 to offset the SST and reverse the Late Payment Charge. Once the credit card account had been zerorised, we’ll proceed to cancel your credit card and keep you updated on the card status by next week.

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to address your concerns. If you have any questions regarding your feedback, please reply this email. Alternatively, you can contact our Telebanking Centre at 1 300 80 2626 (Local Call) or 603 8321 5400 (From overseas) for assistance on other matters.
