QUOTE(centrio1981 @ Jan 10 2015, 08:44 PM) Current MY Salary - RM15.2k gross, RM11k nett Potential SG salary - SGD10k gross
Rental - SGD1500 Food, transport, Bills etc - SGD1000
Balance SGD4900 x 2.45 (using an average long term rate) = RM12k
Hence, is it worth it to move to SG just for RM1k extra? Dafug is this calculation man. Malaysia no need to pay for housing, food, transport, etc?

QUOTE(centrio1981 @ Jan 10 2015, 10:11 PM) It's not CPF but EPF. The employer has confirmed able to contribute to Malaysia EPF. The tax I believe is 15% for this salary bracket. Nevertless, would anyone suggest to move down for RM1k extra? If u put it that way then, rm1k not worth it loh. 1 nite ktv u blow that away already.

You'll only be taxed sgd7950 and only gets to pay next year, it's not deducted monthly http://www.iras.gov.sg/irashome/page03_ektid282.aspxWorth it to take up this job

QUOTE(IwanAGP @ Jan 10 2015, 10:30 PM) You'll become PR as soon as you reach here? Work pass holder no need to pay CPF one wor (~EPF in M'sia). Btw... RM15k to SG10k is -50% d. That's quite a lot actually. From what I read before, normal case is just around 20% lower (RM10k become 8kSGD). Anyway... 10k SGD Really elite! It's EPF, not CPF. The company is willing to do this so as to existing benefits are maintained. Sure normally is just a 20% drop? SGD10k is the offer if I get the job. Will know more once job is confirmed.

I was under the impression that it's 15% flat for above 120k but looks like its only 15% for quantum above 120k till 160k. So it's about SGD600+ per month then.

As for me, I just started, haven't even touch the 3k bracket. Nothing much I know about those high income bracket thingy For my level, yes it's possible to get even same salary as in M'sia. Or just 10~20% lower. For you all the high income group I not sure. I definitely save more than working in MY though. Considering that I don't and is impossible to buy a SG car but if work in M'sia sure need buy car.

QUOTE(Mackiddo @ Jan 10 2015, 09:51 PM) only PR and Singaporean have CPF, the rest don't have. Singapore tax is generally lower than Malaysia, probably just 50% of what you have projected here. If you need more info you could pm deodorant, he's among the elite few who hit $10k/month mark ( fiona chin pls confirm ). What industry are you in? Confirm plus chop don't know what. Just did tax filling for our ceo boss dedo. 20% tax rate group. Reach 10k per month mark very humble way to put it. All please appreciate contribution from boss dedo coming ndp when the fireworks go off.

That is like 10 times faster than Unifi 20 mbps le ? still have 200mbps plan? thought their plan start from 1gbps. The only advantage I see using MyRepublic is the 'hypertunnel' service, taking out the hassle of setting up a VPN manually. You can subscribe to Netflix or Hulu straight away. Just that you have less selection of servers if you wanna go 'anonymous' on your online activities

Can consider car pool as well, normally a trip cost SGD 5-7. You might have to wake up 5+ morning and back home 8+. If you don't mind q-ing, rushing and no after work life. this could be a good option
