then Msia how? throw citizenship for a hdb house.. really worth it meh?
The minister not realistic in the first place.. where got such a thing, Singaporean under 35 making 1k/month only.. this is kaisu land with kaisu ppl.. no way such thing will be allowed to happened else bring great disgrace to their family.
1k is just their local benchmark , for True Breed Singaporean , those from another country still have their own home land to fall back to.
you'll be amaze there's still poverty in Singapore ( These are the people may have fall out from the rat race very badly , some are neglected/con/cheated by fam , some are too old , some are handicap ) . You can take a stroll around Beach Road's HDB , then you'll understand why.
For lower income group of Malaysian in SG will likely travel back to get a home , imagine earning 2k SGD travel in and out of JB easily more than 5k to spend .
Whether worth anot it's very individual, as of current situation in Malaysia can see that alot of people willing to give up the citizenship and take up Singapore Citizenship, reasons are very simple :
1) Housing benefits
2) Medical Benefits
3) Education Benefits
- more of a $$ factor
Other Push factor are :
1) Safety
2) Earning power
3) Lost sense of direction in home country
( career development , family development ) - working in an MNC will it move out the next instance ? Down Size ? , Is there still opportunity or even fair opportunity for next generation ?
4) Lost of confidence in home country/Gov
( This would hit anyone who feels that things arn't heading the right direction and you can't do anything to steer it around , in fact some have contributed but after years looking at it still nothing had improve infact became worst , the lost feeling is quite hollow )
5) Freedom of travelling - you'll appreciate the Freedom of oversea visit without limitation on Visa
There's only 1 big factor to make someone stay put in Malaysia - your friends and family.
