Just got the exora bold turbo premium.

Excellent value for the money RM72.2k (counted 5.8k rebate).

Complaint so far:

1. the cooling fan noise after switched off the engine is very loud !!! my whole house can hear it ...
2. difficult for me to drive at max 2000 rpm, torturing drive !!! can't wait to whack the turbo after 1000km...

i think its not the petrol brand caused our friend's problem. i do used shell once awhile and i don't have such a problem. yes, i do feel a bit differ when i pumped caltex/bhp, smoother and better pick-up when floored the throttle.

the noise, just to tell everybody that you are on turbo now. so don't play play aaa.
i once whacked at 3000RPM as the odo passed 500KM. really cannot 'tahan'.

I found that the gearbox/engine feels more free-revving after the first 1000km..

before that, the engine feels like it's struggling to go above 2000rpm, although can feel the turbo kick in already

Oops my eb got new problem

Screeching sound for about 1-2 seconds after crank the engine, after that its back to normal

Starter? serpentine belt? tensioner?

anyone experience this before? mileage 53k km

Hi Alexi, Mind to adv how could U convince the SC to change for U??

Cos I did show mine to my SC which the steering "holding rubber coupling" can't hold the shaft when we steer left & right(shifting) but the foreman claimed Exora is design in this way...

Just checked my own EB. Mine seems normal. No rust.

Perhaps you can get yours replaced?

Check page 14. It was the alignment tech who justified it. I didn't try and convince him, though I was hoping that is not a problem. I personally prefer less things needing a change for my EB...

Even after it was changed, the steering rack still has flexible freeplay towards either side.
I can (try) take a video for reference here, since I just had it changed last week.

I did personally asked the foreman at Penang main SC at Jln Makloom while he claimed that its designed such way whereas there freeplay room for the steering instead of totally still (can't move)

how long you have to wait bro from the time the SC ordered the part and getting it replaced?

I have a solution for you for item #2. But you might not like it. Turn on the SAT mode.
It will limit your driving power slightly, but importanly, it psychologically reduces your temptation to boost.

its already known issue. the SC will ordered it as soon as you report in. its a priority. i claims two items, the nipple and ABS sensor. so the SC chased for the nipple first as the ABS sensor still can wait coz its out of stock. the SC at Bukit Serdang took about ten working days to get the nipple. now only the ABS sensor yet to wait and they said maybe i can get it by next week.

Anyone facing squeak noise on the steering wheel during turning left/right?
Its just happen to me recently.

And the brake squeaking noise when pressing brake keep repeating after send to SC for cleaning up dirts.

Congratz for your new car. The cooling noise fan noise is normal as it happen in other cars too
