When will MSI get GTX1080 laptops?

Bought a GL62-6QF Added an M.2 drive and an ssd plus added ram to a toal of 16GB in. Overall for the price i paid, im happy with the overall package. No BlingBling backlighting keyboard though.

How much total for the damage bro? i planning the same like urs.

i think my laptop is getting more dusty, cpu temp during gaming is around 80 and gpu around 65+.. perhaps time to send to service centre..

As long as no throttling, those temperatures are still considered good.

next iteration of GT80 series will have GTX1080 GPUs not the M versions

insider info tells me around August/September MSI will have 10xx for their gaming notebook line

on the side note, will start selling MSI Notebook @ LYN very soon

The specs are:

8GB RAM
NVIDIA Geforce GTX 760M

Is it worth to do a upgrade like adding more ram or changing the processor/graphic cards or rather use the money for a new laptop?

Currently im using MSI GE40 2OC, but now my laptop getting very noisy and start throttling while gaming because the temp is really hot. WHat should I do with it?

CPU/GCU - Unable upgrade.
Ram - Most of the app 8gb is sufficient, except certain resource demand game but I think your 760m also need lower the setting to run it, so 8gb is good enough.

I'm using ge40 too. Get a cooler / play in aircond room is the only way for me. If no aircond it gets too hot

so was thinking of upgrade ssd & ram

1. If im not mistaken, there is extra slot just for ssd. m2? so I just search and buy ssd m2 right?
2. If there is, can I add ssd and use that port as boot up windows?
3. Do I need to send back to shop to upgrade it? can bring my own ssd and ram right? how about service centre?
4. Ram is DDR4?
