QUOTE(Adrian_Alastair @ Oct 18 2015, 09:26 PM) Hi, today noticed a small stripe/dead pixel about half an inch showing up at the middle of my screen (MSI GE72). Does the 1 year warranty cover screen replacements? If not how much would it cost to replace the whole screen? check IM, D.P. should cover if more than certain limit |

QUOTE(ryantan9238 @ Oct 29 2015, 05:30 PM) Just checked with MSI Service Center. They will charge RM70 just to help you open the laptop casing, put the hardware in and close the casing back. bloody sucker Totally wtf on that part... If not because there is one sticker to cover the screw hole, really wont like them to do it. |

QUOTE(xFrostKnightz @ Nov 15 2015, 12:26 PM) I might be stupid but what's Skylake version? I'm thinking of buying MSI GE62 2QD later this month but I've done some research (Even though I'm still had no idea what it's about), is GE62 gonna get upgraded? Well actually my budget was below RM5K that's why I'm going for this machine. By next week, ge series @ skylake is reaching our shore |

I don't mind if the deal is really good. (Komtar there always selling just retailer price)
But so far in pg, the price really unable compete to lowyat. What kind of offer they give? This post has been edited by tachlio: Nov 15 2015, 07:25 PM |

QUOTE(xFrostKnightz @ Nov 19 2015, 12:38 PM) Is there any difference on prices if I choose to buy GE62 2QD not in Penang but in KL? Some birdies told me it's cheaper in Lowyat Plaza. Is buying from Gadget Zone better? It cost about the same as the MSI concept shop (RM4599) the birdies told you is true as really some seller is really cheaper on Lowyat.2nd, there is no different to get on GZ or MSI concept shop as long as its Msia set, so just choose which service you like if you purchase in Pg. (Pg will just sold follow retailer price) |

QUOTE(xFrostKnightz @ Nov 19 2015, 05:26 PM) Why is it cheaper in lowyat when compared to Penang? If what you said is true which means as long as it's msia set the price it's the same isn't it? Example you buy a car, in different showroom they also give different discount as long as they get the customer.Same apply to IT stuff, some shop get more unit so their cost is lower so better price they can offer. |

QUOTE(xFrostKnightz @ Nov 19 2015, 08:18 PM) Ok so I've been told by a salesman from the MSI concept shop in Komtar and they recommended me to get MSI GE62 6QC as the specs are similar (except it comes with Skylake) and it's cheaper compared to MSI GE62 2QD. The only downside is that it doesn't have the Multi-Colour Steelseries keyboard and it comes only with 4 GB of RAM which I'm planning to buy another 4GB of RAM. What do you think? Should I go for the GE62 6QC or GE62 2QD? From review, you barely notice different on performance increase. But battery life should able to notice it.Its always bettter getting new gen if price is not much different. |

QUOTE(Dannyoski @ Nov 26 2015, 11:25 PM) Caddy is a mechanism part that replace your internal dvd/bluray drive into a hdd/ssd drive. Dont need to wait its drop, the price different and actual user can feel is unbalance, you barely can feel anything compare Sata3 (500mb/s) vs PCIE (1.5gb/s), its only talking about few second different from boot up.This allow you to add in additional storage to your laptop. Example of MSI PE60/70, it came with only 2 storage slot. They are the m.2 2280 pcie slot and a regular hdd slot. By adding a caddy drive, I can have 3 storage slot. Here's my setup: 1. M.2 2280 pcie ssd slot - still empty waiting for pcie ssd price drop 2. Ori hdd sata slot. Replaced with a 250g ssd for window os. 3. Caddy drive. Added 512g ssd for data. Was thinking to add m.2 sata 250g ssd to the pcie slot and raid 0 with my exisitng 250g ssd while waiitng for pcie price to drop.....still thinking....... |
