Anyone's Cortana broke? I thought it was me fiddling with the appxpackages, but then after I reverted it she's still broken.

I think right now the download speed is quite slow from Microsoft, it's only around half the speed I'm getting compared to when I downloaded during midnight 2 days ago.
I got careless though, just created a bootable USB drive without making a backup of the ISO file, and my Win10 failed to load up after I updated my graphic card driver. I then realized I created the bootable drive for BIOS format instead of UEFI which my laptop is using. doh.gif
Now I have to re-download the ISO file again.

I found a useful guide, which said you can use non-Windows OS, or use your mobile phone to access the link below:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

And instead of redirecting you to the link to download media creation tool, you can actually select Windows 10 version and 32, 64bit version ISO file to download directly from Microsoft server. In that case, you can use download manager to download, instead of through the Media Creation Tool.

Read the link below for detailed info:

Turn off the antivirus during downloads, it will help to increase the speed a bit....

check your volume and install or reinstall audio driver. Need to install video codec if only video has no sound.

Dumb question here. No need to change any settings to get Cortana? Like region change?

Need to change to supported region (US, UK, China etc.) to use Cortana in control panel.

Brilliant will try this method with my Mac OS tonight. Thanks, mate.

Edit:

There are a few editions to download. Windows 10, Windows 10 KN, Windows 10 N, and Windows 10 Single Language. I'm eligible for Windows 10 Pro, so which edition should I choose?

erm i mean when u open a folder then you want to close it normally we click the X on the top right to close,
but in Win8 we can just drag the folder which is opening in current screen toward bottom close it.

and Win8 looks more professional look. Win10 looks like trial or Dummy windows for me those GUI i mean.

Saw this in the Microsoft website link:
Windows 10 editions below are valid for both Windows 10 Home and Windows 10 Pro.

So you can just choose the 1st option.

Don't have chance to test this anymore sweat.gif I think W7 has the same feature but i didnt get what you mean doh.gif
I installed Win10 but my favorite game keep crash without warning(the game will just close without notice). There're some minor changes i dont like either.

Now im back to trusty Windows 7(same shi-t happened when the W8 launched too lol). notworthy.gif

To delsoo;

I really dont know why it is so slow in my area. But all is well so I dont complain that much. Did you guys know that DX12 can combine an integrated gpu and a discrete one? Hell yeah for Windows 10!!
