its ticked, just that when i click the properties button, nothing happens. used to be fine in win7. anyway i've got it changed manually thanks to this page https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1885863/+1440.
i also had to force change my graphic card using the bios as the switchable graphics cant be used in win10. these r the 2 main problems for win10 that i have encountered so far. other than that everything's fine. interface looks nicer than win7. but to me it's more of aesthetics than anything else. load time is faster than win 7.
*
hmm.gif mind stating what are your graphic cards? (integrated and dedicated)
and which one of them is faulty
Experientially try Windows key + R, type devmgmt.msc, find display adapters section then expand it to see if the drivers are faulty.

yeah because it's another profile. you should have backed up all the files before you switched the account. i'm not sure if your files have been synchronized to your ms.account. if they're not, well, you might need to run recuva to see if you can recover them.

I am currently sign in using LOCAL account . I discovered that i cant use certain apps such as MAIL , SKYPE , CALENDAR ...It said his app can't be signed in using Built-in Administrator account asked me to sign in different account again....What can i do now ? yeah i think you need to sign in using ms.account and see if you can log out from those apps. this is messy :/

edit: remember, whatever you do next time when you do a fresh install or what not, the first account must always be local. it can save you a lot of troubles.

there is no need to use ms.account for w10.

that's the thing. none is faulty. it's just that when i lick the switchable graphics tab, it goes straight into AMD catalyst. btw my card is Ati radeon. n there is no option to change the cards. not sure if u get what i mean.

unlike in win7 when u click the switchable graphics tab, u will get a small windows asking u whether u wanna to switch to ati or intel accelerated graphics. this small window no longer exist in win10. so the only way is to force change it permanently from the bios.

is this a laptop? if it is, maybe you need to check the manufacturer site for driver updates, specifically about this graphic switching thing.

Oh my gosh, Windows 10 is seriously doing a damage on my bandwith, managed to get everything downloaded, failed at installing due to some first boot error, then returned me back to Windows 8.1 Pro, then needed to download the whole installer again! Wow, just wow. It's such a hassle.

Anyone having low FPS In certain game but in other games it was ok?

First day switch to window 10 , everything was fine until few days later things started to go wrong.

Game like Cs go I can achieve 100 FPS, shadow of mordow (average 80 FPS)

But game like Guild wars 2 all of sudden it drop to 10 FPS o.O , same happen to heroes of storm when in menu the FPS only stay at 10++ FPS?

Btw, all driver is latest, I have reinstall a clean window 10 Pro still no fix.

I am updating win7homeP to win10 via 'windows update' but fails few times. So I resorted d/load and make ISO cd and install after reading 'windows will scan deep to find your windows key by skipping the activation code'. Unfortunately it did not happen. I want to revert back to win7 but the is no option "back to previous OS". I try reinstall back the win10, end up my windows.old wipe up. I am screwed. Any option get back to win7? I am sure as time goes by I am not the only one facing this shitty problem. Btw I am using Asus n55. Please share what can be done (or else live with this pirate like windows.

Remarks: I just read the win10 only free for one year for win7/8 user?

no you can still go back to w8.1. you can always do a clean install using w8.1 key before 30 days is up (after which ms will consume the 8.1 key for your copy of w10. this might mean you cannot do rollback anymore).

most of us never made a full system and data backup before upgrade. this was why you have hiccups almost everywhere, and when they happen, you don't have options to recover the system efficiently. it's better to always assume system upgrades will cause troubles, and prepare for the worst. if there is no issues during the process, it's a bonus.

unplanned upgrades will almost certainly cause you more troubles.

edit: as per license agreement in w10, there is a downgrade rights section. as long as you have the pro retail versions (w7/8.x), you can do downgrade.

all it needs is to run the upgrade to an activated os connected to internet. if successful, you get w10. you don't need key in the upgrade process, and you don't need key to do clean install after that. it's this simple.

to revert to w7, do a clean install, use your key to activate online. if it doesn't work, do phone activation.

one year is a long time. it's up until july 2016. this is why for those who are not familiar with what is happening, don't upgrade so quickly. take your time, and prepare whatever necessary for the worst. the upgrade is a pleasant one if a user is well prepared for it.

This pc was recently upgraded to win10 . If you reset this pc, you wouldn't be able to undo the upgrade and go back the previous edition of windows

This made me nervous of performimg a reset for my pc..
If I do the reset, the option to go back to win8.1 will still be there before 30days?
Or the option to go back to win8.1 will be gone ? and i have to do a format and install back win8.1 using CD and activate back using my genuine win8.1 key ?

that message refers to the upgrade only. it just means you cannot use the tool included in upgrade to do rollback. during the upgrade, necessary folders/files for rollback are created for the purpose. a reset removes everything, including these folders/files, so you cannot do it because the files are missing.

no. there will be no option for that after a reset. but you still can do a fresh install.
