Windows 10 will fail.
MS Windows always suceed when it's the odd number release:
10- Win 10 (Doomed to Phailed) 9 - Skipped (Succeed) 8 - Win 8 (Failed) 7 - Win 7 (Succeed) 6 - Vista (Failed) 5 - XP (Succeed) 4 - ME (Failed) 3 - Win 98 (Succeed) 2 - Win 95 (Failed) 1 - Windows 3.1 (Suceed)

Where is my stars?

It's a refined Windows 8. I don't think it will fail. I got no issue with Win 8.1 anyway. It's just those lazy fellas not willing to learn how to use it.

Wait till they actually want to show me some kind of convincing functions that improve quality of life.
A little fast startup, revamped UI isn't convincing.

QUOTE(TristanX @ Oct 1 2014, 05:11 PM) It's just those lazy fellas not willing to learn how to use it. Exactly. To me, Windows 8/8.1 makes everything easier once you've learn to use it correctly.

Getting Started

QUOTE(sHawTY @ Oct 1 2014, 07:21 PM) Exactly. To me, Windows 8/8.1 makes everything easier once you've learn to use it correctly. Gotcha! But the start screen is a little messy! BTW Windows 8.1 performs flawlessly, I don't need to spend money for a new laptop anymore!

QUOTE(Awesomezx @ Oct 2 2014, 10:24 AM) if i wanna test window 10.. i should use a secondary PC? That's the best way to test a new operating system. Or if you have an extra HDD lying around, you could install Windows 10 preview in that.

played with w10 tech preview for a bit just now (with w8.1 pro's built-in virtualization feature on asus.g55). everything works fine.
now i realized that i am not really fond of start button. by default it will boot straight to desktop mode. in the taskbar properties there is an option to show start screen first.

QUOTE(ErgoProxi @ Oct 3 2014, 06:13 AM) Print-screen yer favourite feature please. for now.. only one: the command prompt. after so many years they decided to give it some missing 'features'.
the multiple desktops can be called out with win+tab. however for switching between desktops i cannot use arrow keys yet. (must point and click with mouse :/) I think it's still early to say anything.

A little fast startup, revamped UI isn't convincing. all of these are just scratching the surface of windows 10, basic improvement for enterprise for a whole bunch of consumer features and improvement, and developer stuff we need to wait until next year it's still early to judge how good is Windows 10 a lot of things will change in final version.
