I suppose I'll migrate over to Ryzen 5 at the end of this year or so? When stocks are readily available and prices stabilized. That is if our RM didn't get shot to hell, that is. Pretty much have a general checklist on hand, well, roughly.

read a lot test in baidu, 1700/1700x easily oc at 4.0ghz at 1.342v (ryzen default voltage for 4.0ghz) and run stress test under 50c, commonly will 30c idle for OC.

Benchmark overpasses 6900k with 4.0, single core benchmark lower about 25% than 7700k ( maybe 7700k run 4.5, unconfirmed).

At same 4.0ghz for gaming, mostly 1700x slower than 6900k/7700k (both remain 4.0ghz as well) about 10% fps.

1800k with turbo 4.0ghz on par with 6900k at gaming, but lower much in several game as well, reviewer thinks that maybe older game not utilize for 1800x tech.

Overall result, its really well done 8 core CPU, especially very low temps.

Waiting for price adjusment than mrsrp XD

As expected. Gaming performance falls behind Kaby lake but others higher than that. thumbsup.gif

Gotta wait for R5 to see any difference in performance especially in games

Not too shabby for a first time hmm.gif

This should mean AMD can claw back some market share, and that means more competition. More competition = happy consumers icon_idea.gif

Agreed. In the end it benefits us the consumer.

But from what i see, gaming benchmark varies with websites. I dont know why rclxub.gif

From this review http://www.toptengamer.com/amd-ryzen-7-170...i7-7700k-1800x/

It seems the performance not far from Kaby lake rclxub.gif

If Ryzen 5 goes well, 6 core 12 thread is my target.

The 1700 performance looks good! And 1700 about same price as 7700k right?

Ya it is priced similarly.

R7 1700 priced around RM 1600 whereas 7700k around 1.5k?

But strangely, the review that i gave differs from most popular reviews
Most reviews state that Ryzen gaming is behind 7700k but from the link that i gave it is closer or on par with 7700k.
Something not right here rclxub.gif

Maybe goldfries can confirm why the discrepancy?
