Of coz la... shipping + middle man service ma.  blush.gif
If AMD malaysia bring in this item... It should be approx 370RM.  vmad.gif

newegg selling this item for 98USD.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16819113371

or you should wait for the new "kaveri refresh" APU - A6-7400k.
I doubt that they will bring this item.

Hope Lisa Su manage AMD well. sad.gif

I highly doubt it... sad.gif

Unless AMD could return to their price/performance prowess with their Zen CPUs in 2016, going with AM3+/APU would be a waste...

Heck, APUs are not exactly favorable in terms of price/performance since their CPU performance are not exactly powerful, and if you add a discrete card to the mix, you'll be wasting the performance of the integrated graphics. icon_idea.gif

The 7400K only has a CPU performance of a low voltage i3, and when it comes to upgrades, the max you could go without switching platforms would be a 7850K, which is only comparable to an i5-760. sweat.gif

The price of APUs are not exactly cheap either. For example, the price of A10-7850K costs about RM700, which is dangerously priced to a Xeon E3. sweat.gif
You'll be paying a lot for integrated graphics, which most gamers won't be using. icon_idea.gif

Though I'd like to see how AMD competes in the GPU segment. tongue.gif

999rmb for middle man?  cry.gif

Probably will ship to my sister in law in China.
A8-7600 is good. Can XFire with R7 240  drool.gif

I think price per performance per watt usage is quite good.

Bear in mind that not all games work with hybrid Crossfire... tongue.gif

It can be very buggy to work with. icon_idea.gif

Really? I thought AMD Driver will handle everything.

But anyway, just to think of it already feel good.  laugh.gif

If I'm not mistaken, someone here actually bought an APU build and complains it's not performing up to his task.... I think he spent about RM2.5K for one. sweat.gif

Anyway, it seems like we won't be able to see AMD's next desktop CPU this year.... sweat.gif

I bought it(retail box ver) about 500RM (Taobao price + shipping + proxy service charges) from china to my house last year December.
Now, I think its more expensive due our weaker currency values. sad.gif
BTW, I would to complain about the stock cooler.. its small & HOT(58 - 67C, non OC)!!!
*
Idle or on load? hmm.gif

RM500 looks expensive - but I know I can get it much cheaper: brows.gif

RM400 including global shipping, and you can pay it with your credit card. icon_idea.gif

I think that AMD APU will only beat with only i5-4xxx or i5-5xxx. Any comment?

Well you need to factor other things such as integrated GPU... hmm.gif

hi..currently i used Phenom II x3 710 with radeon 4670...is it worth it if I upgrade to FX cpu or A-series?my budget is 1k for cpu n mobo...Thanks in advance smile.gif
*
IMHO the best upgrade for you is an Intel build - A Xeon E3 with a H97 chipset will be a much more sizable upgrade over most AMD setups. icon_idea.gif

AMD just taped out their first FinFet chips recently and that is most likely for their Zen lineup. There's no information on which process node though, 16nm/14nm.
*
Hopefully they can bring back the old days of Phenom II - a competitive CPU for a non-wallet breaking price tag. tongue.gif

Also, someone has modded a Fury Strix and overclocked the heck out of it under LN2...

As expected. Gaming performance falls behind Kaby lake but others higher than that.  thumbsup.gif

Gotta wait for R5 to see any difference in performance especially in games
*
Not too shabby for a first time hmm.gif

This should mean AMD can claw back some market share, and that means more competition. More competition = happy consumers icon_idea.gif

8 core 16 threads can finally be mainstream.

This should hopefully mean that software devs can stop slacking off and begin optimizing their software for multithreading icon_idea.gif

Interestingly someone on reddit mentioned this:

One thing to keep in mind is that Hardware Unboxed found a 15% performance drop using windows balanced power plan vs high performance due to the OS controlling p-state instead of the CPU.

Vega is not rx 500+ series. 500+ series is just re-branded from rx 460/470/480 still polaris.
Vega is the successor to r9 fury x iinm. hmm.gif  hmm.gif
*
Not really a complete rebrand, more or less it's a refresh - think about the GTX770 is a refresh of the old 680. icon_idea.gif

A refresh usually comes with added advantage such as lower power consumption, better performance and overclockability (due to slightly higher quality yields). They are often cheaper than their predecessors too. icon_idea.gif
