QUOTE(jamilselamat @ Feb 13 2017, 12:32 AM) If its true the pricing for the 6c/12t Ryzen is cheaper than i7 7700k, I'll be building an AMD rig almost as soon as it's sold here. Probably too soon to tell, but I'm sitting on a pile of money i was gonna spend on a new phone. Well, looks like i'll go back to using 3310. That money is now reserved for Ryzen. But what about AM4 boards variables? Did you consider that in your calculation? Do we have an inkling how much they'll be here?

I suppose I'll migrate over to Ryzen 5 at the end of this year or so? When stocks are readily available and prices stabilized. That is if our RM didn't get shot to hell, that is. Pretty much have a general checklist on hand, well, roughly.

Errr a noob question. How would the Ryzen 5, say 1400 stack up with, say FX6350..?

Okay, I'm pretty sure to pick the Gigabyte AB350-GAMING 3, been with their mobo's for several builds and I'm satisfied. Just need to pick one of them 5's soon as they launch and I should be good to go..
Darn, need to get a stick (or two) of DDR4's too.

QUOTE(avengers88 @ Apr 26 2017, 05:02 PM) Decided to get the Gigabyte GA-AB350-Gaming-3. Hope it's a good choice lol! Was aiming at this, too. Where/how much did you get it? I've been using Gigabyte boards for the past several builds and gotta say I like them in general.

QUOTE(avengers88 @ May 4 2017, 11:00 AM) Hi Blitz, I am from Singapore so I got it from our local Lowyat Singapore ( Sim Lim Square ) LOL. Just survey it around like what I would do in Lowyat and find the cheapest one. I got Ryzen 7 1700 with the motherboard in total of $650 ( Here got bundle price one ) . Not sure if you can find it cheaper in lowyat. So far, for usage of a few days, it seems good, and since i dun really need function of X370 so that's why i got this. But my guess is the MSI Tomahawk is pretty good as well, but I read somewhere they have post issues so I got this gigabyte. But then after that I also realise that this gigabyte might have it's own issues LOL but so far so good! Since Ryzen is new platform so make sure u update the BIOS and it should be fine. Happy hunting! Ahhh I see, thanks for the reply though! I'm just glad someone went for Gigabyte board instead of the usual Asrock/MSI/Asus
