R7 1700X is available to pre-order at RM1899 now.
Honestly I'm very tempted to buy it right away. but there is no mobo out yet.
Should I pre-order it right away due to limited stock or should wait for some review first?

QUOTE(goldfries @ Feb 28 2017, 12:30 PM) No mobo yet. I'm waiting for ASUS board right now, even ASUS HQ informed me they haven't go any board yet. Yup.. Only ASROCK launched at the moment. ASUS might be around mid-March or even later. but good thing from ASUS is.... Crosshair VI Hero comes with AM3 mounting holes.

QUOTE(goldfries @ Mar 2 2017, 05:28 AM) They're coming, just don't know when. Can you let us know a little bit about Ryzen gaming performance? Currently there is some published benchmark that put some concern about Ryzen Gaming performance.

QUOTE(Someonesim @ Mar 2 2017, 10:40 AM) Concern ? Mana source, would like to know So far what I read, quite optimistic. 7700K should still lead in some games due to much higher clock speed so pure gamer still opts for Kabylake. seem like it's not that legit. http://www.guru3d.com/news-story/first-ryz...to-the-web.html

QUOTE(Someonesim @ Mar 27 2017, 10:50 AM) goldfries While you doing further/follow up test on Ryzen 7. Can you verify if performance are improved now with several Windows 10 update ? Saw video from DigitalFountry that have gaming performance gap to Kabylake narrow down. Interested to know if RAM compatibility are better now, if BIOS update improve ? I'm between Asrock X370 killer SLI and MSI B350 tomahawk arctic. Former have more power phases and USB port at back panel but 2933MHz RAM support only, while latter had 3200MHz but less USB port. Would like to know if should aim for 3000MHz or 3200MHz RAM RAM compatibility now is still the same. Some better, some worse, and mostly the same. Need to wait for new AMD AGESA (aka CPU microcode). I would go for ASRock X370 Killer SLI. P.S. MSI B350 Tomahawk already received the beta BIOS with new AMD AGESA which it can brick your M/B and not showing any improvement on memory compatibilty at the moment. QUOTE(llk @ May 15 2017, 03:58 PM) With Samsung B Die chip finally able to run at 3200mhz Becareful on using RGB software. It's the best that you don't use it at the moment until the sort out the problem. It might gonna corrupt your RAM SPD.
