So I got myself a bottle of Turtle Wax Zip wax. It's a wash+wax solution. Instructions ask me to use warm water but if I use cold water, what would happen?

im using that for my regular "not giving much fuck about detailing but the car is soiled beyond belief after months of not washing" washes, rm2x/bottle and typically buy on promotion/sales.

i always used cold water, and yes nothing extraordinary happens.
no issue with cold water.

Haven't had one for quite a while now....well...not that I'm aware of Anyway. Maybe you can call for one. I can try to get Osren, Sonax, Dodo Juice, IGreen, or some other reps to come over if you want.... tongue.gif

Hrrrmm....comes to think of it....maybe I can list down links to online shops that sells them in the 1st page....the authorised ones, of course. Wonder whether that would be against the forum rules....

as sifu mywifecar mentioned, not against rule, and listing on the first page can reduce a lot of potential repeated questions by pointing newcomers to the first page biggrin.gif

For claying process, can we use Meguiar's Gold Class™ Car Wash Shampoo & Conditioner + water as lubricant?

Or must we use Meguair's Quik Detailer?

This is pretty fine. Just make sure you rinse your car with clean water again.

How much is it?

Bro radiancephil, got emailed Osren regarding this towel, this is their reply;

MF-B-11 Microfiber Towel 60 x 180cm – RM37.10 /pc

Affordable for a humongous MF towel. Probably will get 1. Also enquire on the waffle towel from Osren;

MF-C-10 M/F Waffle Towel (Yellow) 40 x 60cm – RM50.90 / packet (2pcs)

Seems more cost saving than Cobra. 1 pcs Cobra cost 2 or in this case 3 pcs same purpose thing.

Hi

If i want to remove minor swirls on my own, what product is easy to use without using machine.

Planning to
wash - clay towel - hand polish without machine - sealant and wax

Also whats the best wet like wax?

You can start with Meguiars Ultimate Polish first. Should be good to remove minor swirls.

Have yet to try it but I wonder if the "wax" is enough to make my car shiny? lol

Guess if I wanna make my car have that kind of polished look, I gotta get some proper wax I guess hmm.gif

Any suggestions?

The wax from turtle wax, I believe, is very light and minimal.

Thanks.

Btw, Meguiar Quick Wax:

Or Meguiar Black Wax?

http://www.lazada.com.my/meguiars-g6207-bl...wax-944152.html

My assumption is that the Quick Wax will not last as long as the "proper" black wax? And probably won't look as good as proper wax? hmm.gif

which wax is not the main issue here

if you clearcoat is in good condition and almost free from defects, any wax can makes it shine like pro
if your clearcoat is in bad shape, no wax can help

I need some help regarding car wax. I just finished my entry level Turtle Wax and looking for something better.

Meguiars NXT 2.0 seem like a good choice apart from the price. I prefer something not too pricey.

Edit: Sonax BSD seem like a famous product here. Can I use it as a substitute for wax or on top of wax?

Clearcoat as in the coating on top of the car paint?

If so, seems ok, no defects or scratches, etc. Just dusty and not shiny.

Btw, wax should be able to repel/resist dust right?
