Sorry typo..suck out the water..they will basically spray some chemical, followed by brushing and final step they will suck out the substance with a machine which looks like a vacum cleaner to me..maybe the correct term for it is extractor
*
That sounds OK to me. If the detailer has some previous work/proof to show it to you,and you feel satisfy, you may try it as well.
And also GZOX is reputable detailer. You may expect them to deliver outstanding quality as well. smile.gif

You might want to use a pre-wax cleaner/All-in-one to clean the paintwork before wax/sealant.

I need some help regarding car wax. I just finished my entry level Turtle Wax and looking for something better.

Meguiars NXT 2.0 seem like a good choice apart from the price. I prefer something not too pricey.

Edit:  Sonax BSD seem like a famous product here. Can I use it as a substitute for wax or on top of wax?
*
if you're looking at nxt, consider their ultimate line la.
or the even the cheaper cleaner wax, need to find at ace hardware though.

nxt all the while tend to get overshadowed by their ultimate series, and tend to receive so so feedback/reviews.

BSD can be use by itself, but durability is between 2-4 weeks at best.
for topper its among the best especially for the price it offers smile.gif

prevention better than cure laugh.gif
and good lsp (last step protection, be it wax/sealant/coating etc) does prevent water marks.

now if you already got marks, then from mild to deep:
- clay
- water mark solutions
- polishing
- compounding then polish

Or you can try meguiars water spot remover. Make sure you wear gloves while using it.

Aside from product itself, surfare preparation and regular of maintenance have direct impact to your product durability. Quik Wax is meant to be ease of use - easier in application - shorter time and faster.

Are you staying condos or landed ? How do your rate your 'seriousness' and passion level of car detailing or you just want those regular wash follow by some polish or wax....what is your budget you willing to spend overall ?
Where did you heard of this theory ?
its a company is big enough and have their own r&d or factory, they will control their product formula...but most of the time they outsource to 3rd party to do it...if you kiasu wanted to get the best and cheapest pricce, my advice is start with Apliexpress first...and EXPERIENCE it first....than maybe get ONE single piece from branded..and compare...still there is possible both item coming from the same source just different grading product...your call, your take...  smile.gif

my hometown landed, now staying apartment.. if want to wash need drive to car wash area.. bought hose for it lol.
my seriousness is 4 out of 5? i am stingy and chossy..

I want to find value for money product.. budget not much as it do the works its ok for me.. and i willing to learn n do some works.. my budget maybe below 50 if possible.. usually i bought those cheap product that do the almost same job

Hi guys,

I have a tafetta white ride. Planning to do so called detailing on my new car, now it aged 1 monts, probably going to do the so called detailing on CNY holiday at parents place. So this is step that I will take;
0. Presoak the car using EZ Jet Water Cannon soap dispenser.
1. Wash - please advise me one good wash solution for white car, probably want to strip off the predelivery wax (notice this by whitish residue on door lining rubber), had Glo dishwasher liquid in mind. But the dilution ratio bother me, is it the rule of thumb of 1oz for a gallon be ideal for this application? As for wash media, which one is ideal for this thorough wash? I have Opti-Mitt, Microfiber Chenille Wash Block (Sponge Wrap with Microfiber Chenille from AEON), Microfiber Towels or Sheepskin Wash Mitt? Will use 2 bucket method with Grit Guard in the rinse bucket.
2. Dry - Might blot using synthetic chamois, clear the remaining water using Cobra Supreme Guzzler Waffle Weave Towel.
3. Clay - 3M El Cheapo clay or Permaglass Clay Bar lubricate with QD(8Oz per Gallon) dilution of ONR.
3. Rinse with water
4. Dry - Might blot using synthetic chamois, clear the remaining water using Cobra Supreme Guzzler Waffle Weave Towel.
5. Seal - This is the one that need you guys advise, I'm not looking for expensive sealant such as Opti-seal, CQuartz or the likes. Maybe Perma Glass Polymer Sealant or should I opt for Soft99 Fusso Coat, the discussion can be read Soft 99 Fusso Coat - what a wax !?

Soft99 Fusso Coat
Hi there,

Go easy on the stuffs from the start, then slowly add the goodies smile.gif
To dry your car after a wash, you don't need to use different types of cloths. Use a good one absorbent microfibre from the start and you probably don't bother with the rest.
The Fusso wax will be more durable than the Permaglass. Please note that Permaglass sealant is actually an All-In-One as it cleans and protects your car. Generally AIOs have short durability.
If you have the time and the budget, polish the paintwork before waxing, you should see better results.

Thanks bro. I will put a layer of BSD on top of wax to prolong the durability.

Go for this. Free shipping too.

http://www.lazada.com.my/magic101-value-pack-1403763.html

Also add in some microfiber towel if u want else use the softest towel you have to dry your car (risk is you may scratch your car paintwork/clearcoat)

Get a couple of sponges from Mr Diy. About RM5 for 2 big sponges and 4 small ones.

So far I've only spent around RM70 and my black car looks much better than before. Shiny lol.. Using RM15 wax.

If you drive the car home, recommended to wash clay again

not sifu la and the last time i wash was that youtube video i posted to demo sonax bsd

that was... 3-5 months ago?
ikr? the scratch on TOP of the door handle was just mind boggling. it doesn't matches the "pattern".
my only conclusion is my car being unfortunate meeting REALLY drunk assholes.

Anyways i used ultimate polish, with few more passes since i don't want to risk marring on the unaffected area (again, as i didn't wash down the car/have clean surface to work with)

i used tissue paper mainly for cleaning the affected area with megs final inspection then after polishing also IPA'd it so needed tissue to dry it as the borders of the affected area were beading up (as the protection is still there) and the IPA will leave residue if it happens to flash in a bead lol

and sonax disposable polishing cloth ( still on my 2nd piece after bought so long as i cut it into really small pieces tongue.gif) as well since i don't feel like washing 3-4 cloths (UP/PB BH/ULW/BSD) just for OCD'd spot corrections.

i noticed that the polishing cloth are more abrasive (or they carry/hold the product better?) than regular MF cloths which reflected when i applied BSD, had to use a tissue paper to buff off BSD which i usually didn't need to for MF cloths.
purely by hand laugh.gif

and yes it's been many months since i've washed my car. i'm "OK" with it since the car beads/sheets water so aggressively every rain (and it washes away the previous dirt automatically every time LOL!) so it's a decent indication that the protection is still there.

heck, when i was ipa'ing the area, megs ULW was still protecting the underneath strongly and all my IPA did initially was "blurring"/"hazing" the wax up. and having beading IPA wasn't a pleasant experience to deal with as:
1) i cannot clean at all
2) i actually have to clean more to get rid of the compromised wax

but yea, after a rain, the shine/cleanliness automatically returns until the left over beads (that couldn't sheet off) will dry and flash into a mild watermark laugh.gif
i'm single, so i guess first? sweat.gif
