Is that factory painted paintwork ? Go to Ace Hardware look for the limited/not easy to find Meguiars M16. That is one of the best wax (for our climate) where you can find on the shelf...rest have to look for specific seller....

Last know for M16 is Rm106 now...lasttime was Rm74 then become Rm86..most likely most of the can you found will not in good shape (open up and check inside, if its good..take it asap)

Hi g88 bro nope its original paint , therefore dont know why every time i use the wax the car like not acceptable either become yellow (when using meguiars UWP) or the dust stick on the white due to turtle ice wax is oily and when come to wash section all the dust stick on the paint its become very sticky until using soft99 to clear to those dust stick in the wax.

Sound like you have heavy contamination on the surface and the product you applying cake up....suggest you to fully degrease and remote all the production on the surface, start with proper surface preparation then only apply LSP

With poor protection and heavy door pour + no regular wash, watermark and dirty film will form...both black and white car have the same enemy...

Need to see factory paintwork quality, AFAIK certain batch white myvi have paintwork issue where very minimal/no gloss was mixed into the primer...any protection will not last long nor gloss level is low.

My 1 year old car is red and due to recent months of downpour and me not being around to wash/clean it, it has quite a lot of watermarks. Any good suggestions on how to remove these watermarks?

My plan is to buy a Bosch GEX125-1AE ROB Sander with a LC 5.5" Orange Pad and Meguair's Watermark Remover.

Any thoughts on this?

Does it do a good.job compared to normal claying? Thanks

Sorry for the late reply....been away. First and foremost, the clay cloth makes a quick job of claying. It takes about the same time as washing a car as oppose to *maybe* an hour with a traditional clay. Effective....yes. Does it do a good job....yes. I haven't tried too many clay cloth/block (nor did I do a lot of claying) to really make a conclusive comments, but from my limited usage, the clay cloth that I tried was quite aggressive and would leave some hazing/marring that would require at least a mild polishing afterwards (maybe it's just due to my techniques); and the clay block was a bit milder but a little stiff (the foam backing) and I was having some minor problem claying charp curves, small and intricate areas. I do have a few types of traditional clays from aggresive, medium and mild strength, I'm still comfortable in using them as compared to the clay cloth. But, again, it'll take some time if I were to clay one whole car so, in term of speed, the clay cloth/block wins.

Hi

Anyone used cloth based clay before? I think under Optimum brand..thanks
*
Yup, but got mine from Osren.
The newer version is softer and it's possible to clay the car with very minimal marring left behind if any. It is also effective and I recommend it.
I haven't use a clay bar for years now, I only use it on very dirty cars where I use the clay bar and discard it because it's just not safe to be utilized anymore.

Guys any wax or sealant product that suit for white car ? Cause recently my friend white car using meguiars ultimate wax paste it will become yellowish whereas turtle ice wax the beading is good but too oil it make the car stick a lot off dust when come to washing part the dust I stick with the wax and hard to remove until need to use the soft 99 :-( so guys any recommended product to use for wax or should I go to sealant ?

Did you prepare the paintwork (clay and polish) for waxing?
As for TW ICE, it sounds like the product is over applied. Also, TW ICE is a sealant, despite its name.

If you like to learn and DIY detailing, it's an OK start.
Watermarks might be easy to remove, but water etching requires actual paint correction (polishing) and you might need a more powerful machine+pads+compound combo to remove them. It also depends on the hardness of the paintwork and how deep the etching is.

You have your answers to the current situation of yellowing and dust collecting.
Try at least claying the paintwork before waxing, the results and performance of any wax/sealant will improve.

So I got myself a bottle of Turtle Wax Zip wax. It's a wash+wax solution. Instructions ask me to use warm water but if I use cold water, what would happen?
