Just wondering, if I spend >50k for the 1st year which annual fee is free, would that qualify for the 2nd yr annual fee waiver automatically? Or I have to spend another 50k again during the 2nd yr?
*
Annual Fee is charged at the beginning of each anniversary year.

MBB VS is free for first year, so you don't see the charge at the 1st day when you received your card.

The 50k spending you spent this year is to qualify you for the waiver of subsequent year, and so forth. biggrin.gif

1st year spending would be use to waive 2nd year annual fee..
2nd year spending would be use to waive 3rd year annual fee..

If you have an existing MBB card account, it's included in the same statement.

every year, during the final statement of the year (statement for dec, which comes out in jan), all cards have a summary of total spending for the year.... i think it's a requirement from BNM, as all my statements from diff banks shows it as well... try checking your estatement, or physical statement, normally near the last page or top of the page

Ah...thanks for highlighting this..just noticed this in my Jan '16 statement. My spending for 2015 is around 30K+ and 12K(with BT), total 42K(not sure whether BT is included as part of 'spending').

Requested CS to waive and the PIC told me that it'll take them around 5-6 working-day to review my request.

Slim chance...within next week can know, have to be prepared to cut this cut if they refuse to waive it, even though it's very useful sad.gif

"Dear XXXXXXXXX,

Thank you for your interest in applying for Maybank Credit Card.

We have reviewed your application, regrettably your application is unsuccessful.
Thank you."

I tried to apply thru M2U few days ago, after gone thru very hassle process to upload the doc then finally today get this message in email.
Anyone can advise where can apply this VS card more easily? Or if they have choice to pledge FD to get the card easier?

Thanks
(so sad now... sad.gif )
