Just used this card to access PPL Penang on last weekend.
Mini sandwiches, can drinks, pasta, ayam masak merah, fried rice, toast breads.
Not bad even though serving the same dishes on my second visit.
*
When come to free, anything is best, LOL. I normally walk in to grab a drink and go.

Supp cards work well too.

I live appreciative, why so much complaint?

The only thing to headache now is how to reach 50k expenses to waive the annual fee.

Unlimited PPL access nationwide was my the only reason getting the card. now MBB VI can access too..
For normal spending, my other CB cards - wise,M2 Amex and PB VS are more than enough to cover...
for bussiness/oversea spending i use MBB premier cards...

so MBB VS no longer useful for me  smile.gif
*
That's right, after MBB VI added the new benefit, this card become useless, still have 7 months from annual fee kicks in, so spam the usage of PPL to offset GST (primary + sup) paid earlier wink.gif

RM75, i need to drink 38 cans of coke!

hi all, i just received my card. To enter the PPL, just show this card at counter only? or do i have to let them swipe the card and fill in any forms? Thanks
*
U need to tell the receptionist for complementary access, pass them they card, they will swipe and let u sign on the slip.

We have forumer success to pledge at promotional rate. However, when you sign the pledge (offset) form, means you are not allow to withdraw/uplift the FD before you cancel the card (and up to 90 days processing time for withdrawal).

If you got the card without pledge, then it's different story.

Mine is waived. Only due next year.

Do u have other credit card from Maybank which the expiry month is earlier than the month u got the VS? I read that for example, existing card expiry on Sep, if u get VS on Oct 2014, u will not be charged on Sep 2015 (less than 12 months) but to extend of Sep 2016

I called up and ask the CS. She confirmed it for me over the phone

all my maybank cards has same expiry date despite i got the individual cards from different month, I called CS last month to check on my VS annual fee, which suppose to charge this month and they cant justify whether I will be charge or not, ask me to verify again on closer date, will give them a call later to confirm on that, if the case is like urs, then i can enjoy for another year biggrin.gif

would maybank notice that?

it doesn't matter if u swipe for different PPL/GM, it will count as 2 different usage.

However Im curious to find out whether we can swipe the same card at same PPL, after certain time interval.

Well, you know what you want and this card never give interesting cash back at all doh.gif
If were to spend rm50k, by applying few banks that comes with cash backs, I can easily get rm200-400 with it.
*
Still depends on your spending pattern, if you about to spend 50k oversea with VS, u still able to get RM625 cash back / 1.25%, not to say u mix with petrol and groceries which earn 5% CB.

QUOTE(supersound @ Oct 27 2015, 01:44 PM)
Well, just go for lower end cards lor, simple as that.
Like I now opt for Gold cards instead of Platinum.
*
Visa Signature, is 1 class higher than Platinum FYI.

QUOTE(Zer0 c00L @ Oct 27 2015, 10:09 AM)
only they themselves know the reason for doing so..

besides, its quite illogical to expect customers to spend 50k on their card when their minimum requirement is at 70k p.a.

well, if I do earn 70k p.a, it'll surely be almost suicidal to spend 50k on a CC haha
*
Simply logic, they wan to earn the annual fee tongue.gif

To squeeze the max benefit of this VS, 1 must do the following:

5% capped at RM88 (RM1056 p.a.) = Monthly RM1760 spend on petrol & groceries // RM21,120 p.a.
5X Treat Points (no cap but to hit 50k threshold for AF waiver) = Monthly spend RM2406.67 on oversea // RM28,880 p.a. = RM361 CB

That's the best & minimum spend scenario for you to max out the benefit + AF waiver.
