Just noticed in my M2U there is a visa signature card appearing but account not authorised yet. Looks like my application is successful through the same number provided for ikhwan card.

Just in time for my trip to dublin next week. Can I call in to the signature center to request for supp cards to be delivered together with my main card? Troublesome for me to make a trip to the gardens maybank card center

my anniversary date was June , and i obtained the card on May 15.

i hit 50k spending within 4 months , so my card annual fees waived until 06/16 or 06/17 ?

Mind sharing how u hit the 50K so soon? Use ur card for business purposes?

i swipe most of the stuff using my VS, unless there is promo for other banks/cards... for whatever online transaction that does not grant me rebate, i use VS, especially paypal/ebay, as i still gain 5x points, same like AMEX....

and also, i pay my insurance annually, therefore use VS as well... reload touch n go, use VS as well, at jaya grocer, got 5% rebate sumore, tested and confirmed biggrin.gif

nowadays, 5x amex points not much worth to me, so i prefer VS points > amex points unless i redeem vouchers.... VS points can convert to cashback at 400:RM1...

Thanks for the tips. I foresee myself not being able to achieve the 50K mark by a year since I go after TPs on my M2C amex as well. Insurance I pay using watami for the 3% rebate. Looks like I gotta switch over now as u suggested. RM150 vs Rm550 is still a lot.

Apparently the visa signature card cannot be issued on the same day at card centres. Purposely drow all the way to gardens midvalley as I wanted to get a supp card for my wife so that she can enter the PPL lounge tonight before out flight. In fact I double confirmed twice with maybank visa signature helpline before I drove all the way from seremban.

Was shocked when I was asked by the agent which branch I want the supp card to be delivered to? Apparently the visa signature is a relatively new product so it cant embossed in the card centers, has to br outsourced apparently. All the way for nothing.

Just curious.

Planning to purchase flight ticket from airlines.

Would it be considered as Overseas transaction for VS?

Or should I get a Premier miles card just to collect more air miles point?

Depends on which airline u buy from.

Not MAS for sure.

Either Etihad, Emirates or Vietnam air laugh.gif

I bought etihad early this year, if I remember correctly was charged in RM as I booked from their my website. Maybe if u choose to pay in AED or other currency, it might be considered as foreign transaction

Just wondering, if I spend >50k for the 1st year which annual fee is free, would that qualify for the 2nd yr annual fee waiver automatically? Or I have to spend another 50k again during the 2nd yr?

Annual Fee is charged at the beginning of each anniversary year.

MBB VS is free for first year, so you don't see the charge at the 1st day when you received your card.

The 50k spending you spent this year is to qualify you for the waiver of subsequent year, and so forth. biggrin.gif

1st year spending would be use to waive 2nd year annual fee..
2nd year spending would be use to waive 3rd year annual fee..

Folks, is it possible to receive this card on the same day after application at the KLCC branch ?
I remember it was possible to receive some cards the same day there.
*
Not possible for the signature card. U have to wait for at least 5-7 working days. The CS at gardens mentioned something about the visa signature being a different type of material hence unable to issue within a short timeframe.

Will cancel this card once expiry date is near but I think I've spent enough to qualify for the waiver. Probably will keep it for another year but only for petrol & groceries.

No treat points, no one will use the cc for item other than grocery and petrol. Spend RM 1760 X 12 is RM 21,120. It is not possible to cross RM 50k spending. No future for this card. Correct me if I am wrong.

Bingo. No incentive to meet 50k at all.

Time to say goodbye if I don't meet the 50K usage by July, well in fact won't be using it for anything else other than petrol/groceries from mid april onwards.
