Serious mass is like the mass more serious lar... it's the opposite of playful mass. But must be careful lar, cause things can get real serious real fast.

Do you take mass? Or whey protein only? To a skinny body, should he take mass or protein directly to build lean muscle?thanks

Hi, it is an ON product so called serious mass (green pack).

I once used it to gain weight from 55Kg to 60kg (twice per day). But then i cannot see abvious gaining after i cut down the amount once i achieved 60kg. Till now, i remain same weight for 3 years. I wish to reach 65-70kg to see another level of me.

There are 2 arguement: we should change supplement always vs we should use same supplement to provide consistent result. Can you advise me?

Thanks

Why do you want to change supplement always?

Mass is useless. Just take whey protein if you want. And eat plenty of carbs.

A: some claimed that when your body get used to the supplement, there will be no stimulation from that supplement.

Mass is useless. Just take whey protein if you want. And eat plenty of carbs.
I am too skinny to muscle. I tend to eat more but due to limited choices (vege diet), I hardly find any "delicious" food to feed my desire. This is why I take mass for long period as it was instant result if I take more. However, I once took whey protein but I did not see any obvious result (weight gain), it just remained at same figure along the way I took whey.

I wish to get your advise on this claim.

TQ

supplement can be considered just food in powder form.

again, count ur calories.
u need something to quantify what ur doing...rather than just say 'im eating alot'...cos u wont be able to track progress properly.
eg. my breakfast sometimes up to 800-900 calories...but i can feel hungry a couple hours after that...cos its not heavy just the food lots of calories.
or i can have a slightly heavy breakfast but only 400-500 calories...so will feel pretty full for next few hours...all depends what u eat.
doesnt mean eat alot means lots of calories.

vege diet plenty of options...u just need to explore more...not just salad.
even mixed rice stalls, lots of tofu cooked diff ways, vegies, baked beans, egg, rice etc etc.
easily can hit 600-700 calories and feel full already.
then if u want add ur supplements to meet more protein...already 900 calories in 1 meal.

then u slowly modify based on ur daily calorie intake...sure can easily take in 2000-2500 calories min every day...

no real change... just adding / modifying.
mostly revolve around strength /increasing power to weight ratio / dropping weight class tongue.gif
currently trying to cut 2-3 kg...so mostly now getting intimate with 15-25kg dumbells for next 2-3 months...still same stuff... usual press curls etc...and add in short 3km runs at pace of just under 8min/km twice a week just as an excuse to maintain strength and burn more calories.

Elucidate on being intimate with dumbbells. I won't judge.

Hi guys,

Been working out and taking whey protein for quite some time, mainly ON Gold standard or Muscletech nitro whey…
and I do quite substantial cardio like swimming, badminton and I’m also a runner..

Meanwhile, I have problem with high cholesterol , not too high actually, above borderline most of the time.
I only begin to notice this since my company require me to do medical checkup regularly..
Somehow this is very frustrating because my blood sugar and level is perfectly normal, BMI of 23, flat midsection, though only the top 2 packs visible lol..
And I been eating good since past 2 years! Very less fried and oily stuff, etc, fruits, vege, oats…totally no softdrinks, nasi lemak and roti canai..
Guess I can only blame it on genetics as both my parents have this problem and my dad is a heart patient…it’s easy to blame your parents for this ya lol..

To improve this further I hope to limit my dietary cholesterol as low as possible, preferable less than 300mg per day..
I’m thinking of having whey protein that has zero cholesterol, thinking of ON Platinum hydrowhey now…
And I know it’s friggin’ expensive! Wonder if this worth it…seriously trying to keep cholrestrol intake low while taking supplement is very frustrating..
Would appreciate any advice guys..thanks.

Check out the recommended amount and types here:

Synzo,

There's still hope. Buy any Protein supplement and Pure Maltodextrin separately. Depending on your calorie needs, simply add maltodextrin in your protein shake.

Works for me all the time.
*
Where to get Pure Maltodextrin?

Anyone here got good recipe to mix the pre workout drinks? With banana in it perhaps, and do not make it feels like throwing up.

I have tested 2 combination using 170g of chocolate flavour Dymatize powder, 300ml water, milk 100ml, banana 100g (few time using slight green banana & few time using ripe banana), raisin 40g, rolled oat 40g, papaya 70g. Too much solid content i guess and the end product is like bubur....

The not so ripe banana will gave strong "green" taste in the shake. The ripe banana will add more sweetness taste into the already sweet choc with a funny twist of banana... both not so palatable puke.gif

This is meant for Cardio and not bodybuilding, having the blended fluids moving around your stomach when running/swimming is a problem if it somehow has a disgust taste in it...

One of the best whey out there. The only downside is its price.
