My connection(VIP10) got the same symptoms for a week, now it's back to normal. Most likely it's TM problem for your case too.

I just upgraded to vp5 from streamyx... I found that there is intermittent disconnection when using viber on mobile phone. The voice calling just dropped after a few seconds talk and disconnect. The internet speed is normal and around 4.8mpbs. Not too sure this is due to Wi-Fi or the internet connection? I have no such issue when using streamyx. Anyone experienced this before?

Anyone experiencing no imternet and the phone gives some weird tone? This is my secons time getting this. First time it happened i lodge a report and after 3 days came back on. Whats happening? Do i have to do this everhtime the internet is down? Ugh....
*
if yr phone acts weird, it means something is not right about the modem becos that's where it is connected, not the router. obviously if modem has a problem, the router and the rest will not behave normal.

after 3 yrs with the orig modem, i experienced phone intermittent shutoff, can dial out but can't pick up calls, strange sounds. finally, the modem died, no light at all. called unifi, changed modem all is good. unifi man said the modem lasted too long, unusual, shud hv died sooner - meaning unifi give the cheapest and lowest grade equipment, maximise profit since almost monopoly... consistent with all biz we see around us...

so, if yr modem is >2 yrs, possible it is showing signs of death.

Oh my, I was just interested in subscribing unifi but after seeing last few comments make me want to stick with my umobile

everyday, there r a few unifi users posting bad connection, slow speed, etc. frankly, i hv no idea if they r 5 out of 1000 or 10 out of 100,000 or 80 out of 1 million.

like i mentioned before, most complaints do not mention anything about the the usual suspects - highrise or houses, if plenty of wifi users in own home or neighbors, copper or fiber, shitty unifi router or own purchased router, etc.

if it helps, this is what i get in my house almost all the time after changing to new router. it was not as good before i change router a few months back. no more reset, no more calling unifi to reset, etc. fresh, this is wat i get vip10 from pc wifi 45ft from router, with one androidtv box wifi streaming a movie on upper floor, 50 ft away.
user posted image

in summary, my conclusion after some time reading this thread... unifi works best in houses on fiber with a new router (e.g. asus rt n12hp).

highrise, copper cables, lots of wifi neighbors, orig crap router = big problem.
which means if u fall into this category, should demand discounted price or free hypptv packages! laugh.gif

You should know, those with no problem won't comment =) unfortunately unifi stupid 2-year contract means you can't test test.

I have another two friends with Unifi near my area who had the same problem at the same time for a week. So it is not always your own equipment at fault and problem lies with TM.

I suspect so, because earlier today, speed was perfectly fine in the morning until afternoon. Then suddenly the quality dropped back to 0.50-0.90kbps.

Shouldn't be a hardware issue, replaced everything. Router and modem.

I have been facing connection difficulties for almost a month, to a point where I suspect my neighbor (IT Staff) hack into my network. On and off monitoring my wireless client but to no avail nothing suspicious happen.
*I couldn't even log into 192.168.0.1 to access my router sometimes shakehead.gif

Finally under influence of my friends and research on the internet, I've decided to replace the original router provided by TM. (I just subscribed to Unifi5 2 months ago)

Went and bought TP Link TP-WR841HP (RM119 @ All-IT), set up the internet connection and IPTV (HyppTV) (Incase you dont know, the cable from hypptv box has to go to port no.1 of the TPLink Router where the vlan.600 is located for IPTV).

And voila , everything works GREAT!!! Dota no more delay shit (for the first time I realize there can be so many green colour two-digit ping in G.a.r.e.n.a room), can happily surf using mobile phone on second floor without weird posing to grab "best" wifi signal, everything became faster and now still monitoring how the performance goes. thumbup.gif

from my observation, once it is night about 6pm onwards, feels like there's throttling going on. after 2am, everything back to normal.

I dont know, but I also experience some sort of delay when using fb, twit and youtube. image at twiter load slow than usually, same goes to instagram. When using maxis 4g, the connection seems better than unifi.
Already restart the router and so on.
Something going now?

Same here, since they said they fixed the AAG cable which broke down (few weeks ago) my unifi vip5 has been very slow for everything except torrent is normal. Youtube can't even load 90% of the videos at any quality 144p also can't, takes forever to load..

I just checked any file i download is being throttled from 30kb/s - 70kbps.. You guys can try check:
http://www.thinkbroadband.com/download.html
https://www.linode.com/speedtest

Just download any of those file or whatever file normally without download accelerator you will notice at first the speed starts out high then slowly drops to the throttled amount..

yup.
mine the same. noticed this happen only 2 days ago.
it spiked to 70% of the speed, then later it capped to a slow connection. Sometime can low as 10kB/s.
i noticed this happen to all kind of download. Not only limited to torrent.

It could be a faulty modem, probably overheated?

Or it could be a problem with the MSAN at your building - possibly a power outage too?

SETUJU......... no matter how many times I do speedtest, ping is way higher than what I used to have probably 2 months ago. Ever since the cable damage the service has gone down the shits.... esp for streaming from US/Europe servers.

Anyone else gets this issue your speedtest on mobile app is crap for download... but when you use laptop to test its much better?
