Guys, would you guys recommend me to terminate Unifi that is already out of contract, and resubscribe Unifi jsut for the sake of the free equipments?

Currently the Unifi is using a good TP link router, and the old Dlink (orange) is used as a range extender. I really dont have any good use of the new router if they were to give me, but Id like myself a new set of decoder which feels more responsive than the old one I had.

My contract is already finished, I can either call them for an easy upgrade while using the same equipment, I can terminate, and resubscribe, get the new equipments and ask for the jumbo pack a day or two after activation.

if u r "normal" user, asus rtn12hp will do. rm199 or so.

not a very active thread... but maybe users are all happy, nothing to complain about! biggrin.gif

thanks
ya TM only offers one year warranty for the new dlink router which is another reason I din accept the offer.

any model to suggest. my budget is around RM200 (if possible not more)...

If not more than 200 for your budget, just go for TP Link or Asus rt12u as other bro said...

N56 and N66 have a more sleek appearance and have a dual band function... blush.gif

Correct me if I am wrong... You cannot immediately terminate and resuscribe within a short period of time..

They have your record and business is still business for TM icon_idea.gif

But why not you buy another good router and another TP link use as a wifi extender? Not too costly imo...

Hey guys, I compiled a few channel listing for easy comparison. If there are any mistakes, do let me know so I can correct them. Legend:

1. The RED line denotes the channels that are not available if you migrate from MEGA + SPORTS pack to JUMBO pack

2. The YELLOW box denotes the channels that newly introduced in the JUMBO pack that are not available in MEGA + SPORTS pack.

Note: The FRIED CHILLIES FOOD NETWORK from Mega pack is probably not the same as the FRIED CHILLIES FOOD NETWORK on VOD in the Jumbo pack.

I hope they help.

If you move from these MEGA + SPORTS packages...

You may use the "Fing" app available both on iPhone and Android. It scans the devices connected to the same Wifi.

if u terminate, there is no guarantee u will get it back. becos there r others in the q, registered and waiting.

i doubt unifi install infra 1:1 for every housing estate, area. condo or project. also, they tend to lease some lines to maxis/astro iptv in some areas.

risky move, unless u r buddy with some bigshot in tm/unifi...?
