It was reported that there was a fatal accident happened at Rig E-104 (Chemingat Rig? anyone?). 2 crews were working on the life boat when the life boat suddenly fell off 35m onto the sea. Both were found dead by the rescue team.

I heard of this accident too, but it seems that there's a news black out on this accident.

nothing much can be shared with the outsider at the moment as this incident is still under investigation. Most people roughly know what happened but to find the root causes it will go through a proper investigation which will involve many personnel including representative from the client..

Yes..Stay focus..Stay safe...

Be familiar/competent with the equipment that you're working and ask if you're not sure.

p/s: at any circumstances, do not operate the lever/release mechanism when you are ~ 85ft off the water..especially w/o safety pennants hooked on the both sides.

Hi, I'm fresh graduate from UTM. I took bachelor degree in chemical-gas engineering.. I'm seeking for my first job in O&G industry but I found it hard to secure for my first job since many companies prefer for who have experience rather than fresh graduate. Unfortunately I only got second lower class for my study that make me not qualified to join any graduate programme such as Petronas GESS, Prodigy, BP, Exxon etc.. Anyone here know what company in O&G open vacancy for fresh graduate?? I dont mind any company as long I can get experience there to remove my fresh graduate title.. I willing to learn.. I hope otai2 here can help me.. tqvm..  smile.gif  smile.gif  smile.gif  smile.gif

hohh if you read a few pages back i was at the rig during the puteri a-5 well development. sad.gif .

my crew just came back if im not mistaken. and not sure if they have suspended operation.

i knew both of them (not personally)since i was there to set up my equipments and had constant work meetings/discussion with both of them. scary stuff since the smoking area at E104 is near one of those life boats. not sure wch one fell since im not at the chemingiat well workover.
