True. So the only discs I put in so far are original game discs, ONE original DVD movie, and oh yeah, the Dashboard update that I burnt to CDROM cause I takut the update from the Xbox itself hang.

Sorry...rephrase! Pirated Xbox 360 games. I once bought an NDS Lite from Imbi Mario and was told that all the NDS Lite sold are pre-flashed. It would make sense since it would be easier for them to have all of it flashed by the technician after delivery, instead of have them flashed at a later stage one by one for their buyers. I have to specifically asked for a non flashed and she has to asked for 1 of them reserved for me before sent to the technician. I wonder if they and others have the same stance on the Xbox 360. ( Try to asked her for non-modded PS2 and she doestn even know how much to charge since all are pre-modded )
I'm not sure whether this works or not but maybe u can try to look at those seal as well to make sure it wasnt tempered.
Pirated DVD are mostly region 3 or set to region 0. I once tried a pirated dvd on a NTSC/UC PS2 and it doesnt works.

Oh yeah, I remember. I also had to ask Connie specifically for an unflashed DSLite. It took awhile, but after that all the sets she sold was flashed, she said.
I'm scared to add any pirated 360 games into my machine...too scary!

QUOTE(Lord_Ashe @ Jan 10 2007, 03:18 PM) cylon: Do you mean that a 360 that is able to play pirated DVDs has been modded? I remember when PrinceOfPersia bought his first 360 he tested on several pirated DVDs and all played okay - I don't think his was modded, that's like one of the first batches kan? The point is we never know whether it is a totally new machine, which had not been flashed before and reflashed again, or not a refurbished one, as the seller will do anything to source this 360 at the lowest price as possible, and I always believe they will do that flashing thing in whatever they like in accordance with the market demands... so, points to note....u might be thinking that u r getting the virgin machine, but the truth is it has been raped front n back several times... If this is true then the safest way is not to buy at sg wang at all. End of story. Anyway speaking of sg wang i did visit it last fri and i was surprise they all become good boys and girls after all, with no jack sparrow editions were found........well temporary only

Don't need to take out the whole casing, just open up the front faceplate and you can see MS seal. There's a technique where you can take out the seal and put it back without tampering with it. Just use a hair dryer.

Hmm. Checked my manufacturing date:
21st April 2006.
Will this impact my future? Will the ROD come and haunt me? Stay tuned!

i've checked with bro metalgrind before. he said most of his 3ROD patients have the manufacturing date Feb and Apr 2006. But then again no one is really safe from the dreaded 3ROD.
