Damn. Reading all these posts scares the shit out of me.

Looks like I'll have to invest in an AC for my AV room, but since it also seems random how la to escape?

My friend's 360 hangs while playing RV6 online..happened a few times already. When it hangs, sometimes the red light will blink. He bought it from Connie, Asian version in March I think.

We're not sure if it's the update that's the issue or the ROD is impending..sigh. So tonight he's going to try another game to see if it hangs, failing that, clearing all updates.

Wish us luck.

Well it's official. As of half an hour ago, my friend's Asian 360 flashed the ROD.

It's dead. Not modded, well ventilated, and it still died.

Tomorrow we're taking it to Connie to see what (if anything) she can do. Now I'm looking at mine and thinking if I should tell my fiance it may not have been a good idea to get me one...

Yeah bro judge, my friend's 360 and mine came from the same shop (Imbi Mario) although he bought his in May or June 2006. Last night I spent some time just looking at the console, not daring to play it cause if there's a bloody random 6 month life expectancy for it I pity my fiance for spending so much money on something like that sad.gif We'll be going to Imbi today to see if we can still send it to sg...damn.

I don't know if this will ever change my stance towards originals - I know it's MS' inexperience at manufacturing at work, but come on! People spend hard earned cash on this!

OT: Sony still has manufacturing mastered. No doubt.

Pasrah is the word my friend, and also PARAH.

Yeah, OT: I have not heard of the PS3's Weak Point Crabs of Death or Wii Sexy Blue light of death either.

So now everytime I turn on the 360, it's with a little prayer...

Good point bro.

I also am a bit at a loss as to how to improve the positioning of the xbox. Observe my setup:

So got wind, got ventilation from outside, some more got so much space around the 360. How else? Howwww?

cylon: Do you mean that a 360 that is able to play pirated DVDs has been modded? I remember when PrinceOfPersia bought his first 360 he tested on several pirated DVDs and all played okay - I don't think his was modded, that's like one of the first batches kan?

True. So the only discs I put in so far are original game discs, ONE original DVD movie, and oh yeah, the Dashboard update that I burnt to CDROM cause I takut the update from the Xbox itself hang.

Oh yeah, I remember. I also had to ask Connie specifically for an unflashed DSLite. It took awhile, but after that all the sets she sold was flashed, she said.

I'm scared to add any pirated 360 games into my machine...too scary!

Hmm. Checked my manufacturing date:

21st April 2006.

Will this impact my future? Will the ROD come and haunt me?
Stay tuned!

ALWAYS check before turning everything on.

I know we get excited when we want to turn on the 360, but these days everything also need to be careful...

Shit. The idea of going to SG to send the Xbox for repair is looking more and more attractive. Imbi Mario also quoted RM 200-300 shipping charge.

So if we go ourselves, where do we send it to, and any notes on what steps to take?
