i think the rebate 5 % is tie to the principal card, not the person.

if i use different account, it should be separate statement.
if separate statement, rebate should be calculate based on principal card, not person.

just dunno the maybank credit card person want to entertain me or not..
because lastime i go to open 2nd saving account, they have a long story to me. since i insist want to open 2nd account, they just do it for me. actually i also dunno how they can do it..
really is separate account, separate statement, separate treat point...
but i also know i give big problem to them la.. if everyone open more than 1 saving account, network/data will very jam...

I am the first person who tried having both cards to test it and reported the result here.

It has nothing to do with saving or current accounts. You may go ahead and try to verify the result. Maybe they have change the rule since it was 2 years ago, and I will be among the first person to get another one.

if your second cc application managed to get approved for the same type of cc under the same bank using your same identification, the credit limit as well as your cashback will share with your current cc.

well, they do have limit for this promotion.. it is limited to the 13,500 per month on first come first serve basis.. but, i think maybank is the most generous bank in term of credit card promotion.. no complicated t&c and everyone will get it.. i doubt they really set that limit..
