My Maybankard Platinum Amex got hacked last week. Few US transactions. Got it blocked and cancelled immediately. But last night again another transaction this time for AirAsia. Used HSBC credit cards for 10 years and not once had this issue.

every sinced discovered my love for Amex rebate, Visa is being orphaned in my wallet

my mbb2card is carrying Visa+Amex. still depend on Visa if merchants doesnt accept Amex.

i dont carry other cards, so Visa is trusty backup nonetheless

Wanna ask some questions here. If I were to buy gadget / electrical appliances using Maybank Visa / Mastercard 0% Installment EzyPay, how does it works? Let say the purchase price is RM2400, so for 6 months, I need to pay RM400 per month right?

Is it true that some shops do charge you some % of interest for the first payment / total price?

And If we pay the monthly RM400, do we get the TreatPoints too?

if the item that you are buying has a 0% instalment offer, you just pay rm400/month for 6 months..

if it is not, the shop would charge you 3% upfront..RM2400+3%/6 months

not sure on the points though

Point will be earn one lum sum from total amount you swipe, not earn from monthly basic.

I just got my first statement for Maybankkard 2 Amex & Visa. But I am not being charged for RM50 government tax..why is that so? Anyone here not being charged as well?

u will get it charged on your visa on the 2nd month

just curious: if upgrade from mbb2card gold -> platinum, can you choose either Visa or Mastercard?
