I just read the T&C of the contest and highlighted in my Facebook Page that the contest is only open to PRINCIPAL card members. Take note.

Just wonder for the registration part, shall I register using my AMEX or Master card, or both?

I spend on online purchases and buy items from sellers internationally. I read that the Amex isn't such a good card to use because
1. High conversion rate.
2. Paypal payments may take 1 day to 1 month to process.

Is this right?

Could anyone provide input on the above question?

I often use paypal to buy things online with both amex and mastercard. I didn't do the transactions at the same time. But I think it's more or less similar rates. And even if amex rate were to be slightly higher than visa/mastercard, 5X treatspoints for my MBB2 amex card (equivalent to about 2% cash-back) would still make amex as competitive as its rivals.

my paypal transactions were instant, no delay at all. I don't know where that guy got his info from. hmm.gif

Last year dec a sales person from maybank booth told me as long as we spent 10k in this card, we will entitle to offset 50bucks gov tax just by calling up to call center. Did anyone successfully did that? I tried and I failed.. =_=

never try that before. hmm.gif

but i don't really mind to just redeem the gst with my tp. just spent rm2.5k (a year) and use the 12,500 tp to exchange for the rm50 gst. i think one can easily spend a few times higher than rm2.5k a year. so not a big issue.

She didn't said she had it waived. For MBB, your odds of getting GST waived is next to zero.

Just checked treatpoints at M2U and realize that my amex principal and supp are not shown under the list. Only left with TPs from my MC. Suspecting it is a temp system glitch. Wondering if anybody faces the same prob?
